about
This is an *ASI plugin* for Red Dead Redemption 2, ported by **ScriptHookVDotNet**, based on Alexander Blade's C++ ScriptHook, which allows running any script written in .NET language in the game.
The issues page should mainly be used to report bugs and focus on ideas for improvements. General questions related to RDR2 scripting are better addressed on talk pages or forums set up specifically for this purpose, such as rdr2mods.com.
Require
- C++ ScriptHookRDR2 developed by Alexander Blade
*.NET Framework ≥ 4.8
- Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 x64
download
Pre-built binaries can be found on the releases page.
You need to use ASI files and DLL files, the archives and internal structures used for the API can change without notice.

You need to use Visual Studio 2019 or higher to open the project file and extract the Script Hook RDR2 SDK to "/sdk".
Any contributions to the project are welcome, and it is recommended to use GitHub's pull request system.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
