SpongePEAKAll
Every Sponge PEAK mod in one install.
This is a modpack: it contains no code of its own. Installing it pulls in the seven real
mods, at matching versions, so you do not have to add them one at a time or work out which ones
depend on which.
| Mod | What it does |
|---|---|
| SpongePEAKCore | Shared foundation: logging, config, patch hosting. No features of its own. |
| SpongePEAKLib | Modding API, plus a Mods tab inside the game's own settings menu where every installed mod's features can be toggled. |
| SpongePEAKOptimized | Fixes and performance work, including keeping disconnected players in the world so they can rejoin their own character. |
| SpongePEAKQOL | Quality-of-life: held-item info, teammate stamina bars, catching falling players, rope swinging and cutting, backpacks for everyone. |
| SpongePEAKTweaked | Host-controlled run rules: scale or switch off stamina, hunger, damage and individual statuses. Also lets you rename yourself from the passport. |
| SpongePEAKCheats | Item spawner with search, including modded items. |
| SpongePEAKLobby | Public lobby browser, with host-set lock codes that hide a lobby from browsers while leaving it joinable by invite or code. |
Most things are on by default
Installing a mod should do something. Nearly every feature is enabled from the start, including
the host-owned lobby rules, and anything you dislike can be switched off in Settings → Mods.
Two things stay off, and only two:
- Telemetry, because it draws a debug readout over the game. It is a diagnostic, not a
feature. Press F8 if you want it.
- Listing your lobby publicly, because making your game visible to strangers should be a
decision you make, not one a default makes for you. The browser itself works either way.
Keybinds
All of these are rebindable in each mod's config file, or in Settings > Mods.
| Key | Opens | Mod | Works on main menu |
|---|---|---|---|
| F3 | Item spawner | Cheats | no |
| F4 | Run rules panel | Tweaked | no |
| F6 | Lobby browser | Lobby | yes, and there is a LOBBY BROWSER button on the menu too |
| F7 | Mushroom effect list | QOL | no, see below |
| F8 | Telemetry overlay | Optimized | no (feature is off by default) |
| F | Push the player you are looking at | QOL | no |
| G | Cut the rope you are looking at | QOL | no |
Two more entry points are buttons rather than keys: RUN RULES in the pause menu (host
only), and the rename control beside your name on the passport.
Why the mushroom list is menu-only-blank. MushroomManager is a level generation step, so
which mushroom does what is randomised when the level is built. Before a run exists there is no
table to show, and showing the previous run's would be confidently wrong. It appears as soon as
you are in a run.
Installing
Install this one package. Your mod manager pulls in the seven mods and BepInEx automatically;
you do not need to add them individually or work out the order.
Everything is configured in one place: pause the game or open the main menu, go to
Settings > Mods, and every feature of every installed mod is listed there with a toggle.
The same settings also live in BepInEx/config/com.sponge.*.cfg if you prefer files.
Known issues in this first release
Stated plainly rather than discovered by you:
- The rope spool sometimes will not place a rope. This is a bug in PEAK itself, not in
these mods, and it happens with the anti-rope spool too. SpongePEAKOptimized fixes the same
class of bug in the rope cannon (RopeShooter), which is a different item; the spool's
placement path is separate and is not yet fixed.
- Minor visual rough edges in the mod windows. Nothing that blocks use.
Multiplayer
Features that change what players can do to each other, such as pushing and rope cutting, are
host-owned: the host's setting applies to the whole lobby, and it replicates to everyone
immediately. A client cannot opt out individually, because "I don't want to be pushed" is not
something one player can decide while another
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
