About this mod Author’s original text
🧟 PEAK Zombies 2.0
Mushroom zombies on the whole climb — not just Roots. By default they use vanilla-style map spawners (fixed points that wake when a player gets close) and vanilla lifetime / death. Turn them up, turn them off, or dress them in passport fits. Custom modded outfits work as well!
I have not been able to go full test mode with this in multiplayer and Ive been making myself sick working on like 10 mods at once because I cant stop flowing with ideas that I like so sorry if things get weird. Let me know in the discord about whatever you may have happen that needs fixed/updated/etc. Im a genuinly exhausted 😵😴🛌💤🥱
Find the mod in the Peak Modding Discord under #mod-releases.
💡 What It Does
- 🌍 Spawn anywhere — ForceZombies is on, so Tenderfoot and custom Hazard Zombies do not block NPCs. DisableZombies is the master off switch.
- 🗺️ Vanilla-style spawners (default) — plants Roots-style spawners on Shore, Tropics, Alpine, Mesa, Volcano, Swamp, and Temple. They spawn standing and chase. Roots keeps Landfall's spawners unless you opt in.
- 👥 Around-player waves (optional, off by default) — extra NPCs around the living party on a timer.
- 🎯 Tune the fight — walk / sprint / climb / jump / lunge scales, bite, stumble, lifetime, pass-out, and death (despawn / skeleton / leave ragdoll).
- 🐝 Hazards hit zombies — bees, fog/gloom/lava fields, beetles, flytraps, scorpions, scout cannons, and the Scoutmaster. All on by default.
- 🩹 Statuses — Injury, poison, spores, and the rest can apply (vanilla only allows drowsy and web). Host setting syncs to clients with this mod.
- 👗 Looks — vanilla skirt/shorts, a captured passport outfit (F7), or a random catalog roll. Host rolls; other modded clients copy the indices.
- 🧭 Host authority — spawn, AI, death, and synced visuals follow the host. Vanilla clients still see mushrooms and can play.
🕹️ Menu
Ctrl+Z opens the overlay (rebindable). The pause-menu button is off by default.
Gameplay rows are host-only in a lobby. Menu keys and verbose logging stay local.
⚙️ Configuration
All settings live in BepInEx/config/tony4twenty.PEAK_Zombies.cfg (created on first launch) and in the in-game menu.
Updating from 1.x: BepInEx keeps your old values. Delete or reset that cfg if you want the 2.0 defaults.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
