《Here Comes The Swarm》HereComesTheSwarmDevMod Debug Panel — Installation Instructions
Applicable game version
- Game: Here Comes The Swarm (Steam AppID 3052730, Publisher CableHook)
- Build version: Build 24491754 (Unity 2021.3.45f2, **IL2CPP x64**)
- Runtime: BepInEx 6 (Unity.IL2CPP) be.788 - already included in the green package, no need to install it separately
- If the official major version of the game is upgraded, please confirm that it is still IL2CPP architecture (`GameAssembly.dll` exists) before continuing to use this Mod.
Installation steps
- Unzip `HereComesTheSwarm_Debug Panel_vX.Y.Z_Green Package.zip`.
- All files in the package (`BepInEx\`, `dotnet\`, `winhttp.dll`, `doorstop_config.ini`, `.doorstop_version`)
Copy to the **ontology directory** (the layer containing `Here Comes The Swarm.exe`) and overwrite the file with the same name.
- ⚠ Do not overwrite the `Here Comes The Swarm_Data\` that comes with the game.
- Use the outer `Play - Here Comes The Swarm.exe` (or double-click the main body exe directly) to start the game.
- The first startup will automatically generate an interleaved assembly of about 60 MB in `BepInEx\interop\` (this is normal, only the first time).
How to use
- **F1**: Open/close the debugging panel; **F2**: Write a self-test message to the log.
- `+` / `-` at the bottom of the panel adjust the overall scaling (automatically remembered).
- Tabs and main functions:
- **Overview**: Self-test, statistics reset; display the number of installed patches.
- **Resources**: Internal resource acquisition multiplier, **Population independent multiplier** (population resource ID can be filled in), external resource multiplier,
**Warehouse upper limit multiplier** (using the original "Warehouse" mechanism, there will be an extra line "Mod Warehouse" in the details).
- **Unit/Building**: Each **16** attributes have independent multipliers (including **projectile speed**), which only take effect on **newly created** objects.
- **Gods**: The level/experience of gods can be filled up with one click or modified one by one, and the blessings of three gods take effect at the same time.
Blessing value multiplier, holy object copy (Commander Ascension/Hand of the Crow will give you more copies according to the multiplier),
"Lack of Path Efficiency" also takes effect on connected core buildings (Crow's Touch).
- **Totem**: all slots unlocked, three levels of talent points, and a pair of talents automatically completed (choose one to get the other for free),
Essence/talent value multiplier (including "according to warehouse inventory" type effects: demand reduction + upper limit increase),
Slot-free essence (it will take effect even if it is checked and not put into the slot, and it supports filtering by category/color and text search), and repeated equipment detection.
- **Settings**: hotkey binding, panel zoom, diagnostic switch.
- Configuration: `BepInEx\config\com.local.hcts.devmod.cfg` (changes to most items will take effect immediately, and a new game may need to be opened in some cases).
- Log: `BepInEx\LogOutput.log` (search `[Resource]` / `[Attribute]` / `[God]` / `[Totem]` / `[Patch]` / `[Self-test]`).
Known limitations
- Unit/building attribute multipliers **only take effect** on newly created objects** (units and buildings already on the scene are not retroactive).
- Relic copying and "starting setting" blessings require **opening a new game** to take effect.
- Some "pure boolean/array" effects do not have scalable values (such as the extra geyser in the Valley of Plenty), and the multiplier does not apply.
uninstall
Just delete `BepInEx\plugins\HereComesTheSwarmDevMod.dll` in the ontology directory; if you need to completely remove it, you can delete it entirely.
`BepInEx\`, `dotnet\`, `winhttp.dll`, `doorstop_config.ini`, `.doorstop_version` (does not affect game saves).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
