About this mod Machine translation

MIMESIS 2D Radar Minimap (2D style radar minimap)

This is a lightweight 2D radar minimap module specially designed for "MIMESIS". It will add a simple, technological green radar interface in the upper right corner of the game screen to help you quickly grasp the contours of the surrounding terrain and instantly indicate the relative positions of teammates and monsters.

✨ Core Functions (Features)

  • 🗺️ 2D technological terrain scanning
  • Through a special camera clipping technology, the occlusion of the ceiling is perfectly filtered out, leaving only the outline of the floor and walls.
  • The screen is flattened and rendered with a custom Shader, presenting a pure green 2D radar visual effect.
  • 📍 Dynamic Radar Tracking
  • ⬜ White crosshair: the player himself (fixed in the center of the radar).
  • 🟦 Cyan punctuation: Surviving teammates.
  • 🟥 Red punctuation: Surviving monsters.
  • 🔄 Intuitive perspective following
  • The map and dynamic markers will automatically rotate based on the player's current orientation, ensuring that the direction displayed on the radar is always consistent with your first-person intuition.
  • ⚙️ Fully dynamic customization
  • Supports real-time adjustment of map interface size, field of view and camera perspective height through configuration files.

🎮Controls

  • M key: turn on/off the mini map.

⚙️Configuration

After launching the game for the first time, MelonLoader will automatically generate the MelonPreferences.cfg file in the UserData folder under your game directory (or Profile directory).

You can use any text editor to open the file and find the [MinimapSettings] section to modify the following values (hot reloading after modifying the save in the game is supported):

  • CameraHeight (Default: 10.0)
  • Description: The height of the camera. The smaller the number, the easier it is to see through a narrow room; the larger the number, the more complete the outline of a high-ceiling corridor can be seen.
  • Recommended range: 3.0 ~ 15.0
  • MapSize (Default: 250.0)
  • Description: The UI interface size (pixels) of the minimap in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Recommended range: 150.0 ~ 400.0
  • OrthoSize (Default: 50.0)
  • Description: The map's field of view (zoom ratio). The higher the number, the wider the area covered by the map, but the terrain will appear smaller.
  • Recommended range: 20.0 ~ 100.0

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
