PredatorCZ/Lukas Cones for 3Dsmax plugin ported by CrazyT and used in his Mod3 research:
Jodo for his World Tex converter (as well as compiling a version with that tool's specific behavior at my request).
Chuck Walbourn's DirectXTex library for dds to png converters.
Cristian Năvălici for crc32/crcjam code for python.
Ezekial taught me how to import models that started my spiral into mod3 research, as well as his help with things in general. Also used to create and maintain a large portion of the Modding Wiki.
MHW Modding Discord For all the work done on mod3 research, the amazing work of people making it worthwhile to create improved versions of the original importer and its help channels. You can find my Asterisk here. The 3dmodelling help channel can usually provide quick answers to most questions about the process.
This is a rewrite of CrazyT's Importer-Exporter plugin. It incorporates the results of extensive research since the creation of the original plugin, so there are numerous improvements. It opens and saves all models without exception (tested on model 5002 in game starting with Chunk8).
Import and view *.mod3 files in blender.
Also import *.tex files.
Allows complete modification of existing models.
Documentation on the Importer-Exporter, Mod3 format and tutorials can be found on Ezekial's Modding Wiki:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
