GUI for batch converting textures from Tex>DDS and DDS>Tex
Please read the full description It is very important to get it working properly
Version 1.3 is now released - UI overhaul/code rewrite
Version 1.4 - In Progress - Preview: https://i.imgur.com/EBU08vg.png
[describe]
I always get tired of manually dragging and dropping each texture into the conversion program, so I did this to help speed it up. Please read all descriptions carefully for correct functionality
[Install]
- Drag and drop the DLL and two EXE files into the installation directory
- If updating from version 1.2, please delete all previous 1.2 files and drag the new files into the folder
- It is very important to read the "Getting Program Ready" section
[Get ready to get the program ready]
NOTE: I have permission to distribute JodoZT's texture converter using my program
NEW SINCE 1.1Please read
1. Remove the previous installation (version 1.2) and place the newly repackaged files into the installation directory
2. Set the association between ".dds" and ".tex" files in Windows, and use "TexConvert.exe" in the installation directory to open it
3. Once the associations are set up and run my program it will create the necessary directories if they don't exist (they won't on first install)
[Use program]
1. When run for the first time (or if the folder is missing in general), it will create a "Convert" folder in the directory where this program is installed.
2. Drag and drop all .tex files into the "Convert" folder you want to convert (note: only tex/dds files are supported, subdirectories are not supported. Only tex and dds files should be in the convert folder, the program should automatically detect changes to the folder)
3. Click Convert after finishing copying the required files (by default, no cmd window pops up starting from version 1.3) [FAQ]
Q: Why do I need to associate .dds and .tex files with TexConvert.exe?
Answer: Basically how this program works is that it creates an array of all the files in the directory "convert" and then runs the default associated program for each of those files, so if you associate DDS and Tex files to the converter it will convert them by default on execution.
Question: Can I change the UI text color and top bar color?
Answer: Yes, for this you need to download the 1.3 source code and open the project in Visual Studio 2017 or higher
- In "MHW_Batch_Texture_Converter_METRO_UI.cs" go to the method named "loadTheme(bool bMetroDarkTheme)"
- Open the method and look for the variables below
tMetroDark_TopColor (changes the top color of dark theme, must be the string name of the color)
tMetroDark_TextColor (change the text color of dark theme, must be in Color.ColorName format)
tMetroLight_TopColor (change the top color of the light theme, must be the string name of the color)
tMetroLight_TextColor (to change the text color on the light theme, it must be in the format of Color.ColorName)
- Recompile the code and your new colors should change
(Yes, it's a lot of work, but besides implementing a color changer, the easiest way the user can do it)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
