About this mod Machine translation
Basic dependencies for survivor and infected third person animation mods
feature:
Provides a basic system for adding animated alternatives.
A slotting system that allows combining multiple re-animated mods. Currently, there are up to 48 different slots per character.
If no new sequence is provided, the original sequence is played. Only perform voluntary matters.
Sequential ordering has been predefined for multiplayer consistency without painful reordering for modders.
Additional attachment points for new possibilities of animating weapon world models. (Not yet, will be added if necessary)
Separately included are some animation fixes that Valve never dared to figure out. (Not yet)
Bugs and limitations:
Combining two mods simultaneously on the same character slot has no effect. One will be chosen at random. Ask modders to recompile to other slots.
If two mods replace the same sequence, the replacement sequence with the lowest slot number takes precedence.
Certain animations cannot be replaced with the stock model variants of Francis and Louis, as well as many other special-infected animations, as they embed themselves into the model rather than importing from the animation mdl, and therefore take precedence.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
