About this mod Machine translation

️ Armor adjustment - your armor, your rules

Tune every piece of armor in Human Host - armor value, wear rate, indestructibility, thorns, damage sharing, downed bite protection, bleed/infection/break probability, and more. In-game real-time editing, instant application, single widget or global application. Open the panel with PageDown and start turning the knob.

How armor actually works in this game

The armor in "Human Host" has no hidden "defensive properties". Each shield is a physical layer: attacks that hit it drain the armor's durability instead of health points - and blocked attacks won't cause bleeding, lacerations, infection, or fractures. So the maximum durability of armor is its defense. That's exactly what this mod dials in for you.

✨ What it does

Tuning for each armor - every piece of gear you wear is automatically recognized and gets its own armor table: Armor value (base durability - the piece's "defence", quality bonuses still stack) and wear multiplier (how fast durability decreases; 0 = this piece of gear has never been worn)

Fair real-time rescaling - changing armor value rescales existing parts by durability percentage: full units stay full, half units stay at 50%, rings and tooltips update instantly

Armor Vault - Worn parts are marked and each entry lists your true replica, complete with quality and current/maximum durability. Armor with the same display name but different items will be automatically distinguished

Global Wear Multiplier - All armor has a slider (0 = no wear), plus armor never breaks (durability stops at 1, armor never breaks)

Unskilled skill effects - Forced activation and adjustment of three armor talents without skill points: Thorny Shell (melee attackers treat a percentage of the armor's maximum durability as thorn damage), Armor Patch (spreads damage to all worn parts), Chain Strengthening (armor with zero durability can last for N seconds instead of shattering). When enabled, your stats replace learned skills

Downed Bite Protection - In vanilla, zombies biting you on the ground bypassed the armor completely. Give it its own damage slider (0 = immune)

Disease Control on Hit - Chance multiplier for bleeding, lacerations, infections and fractures (0=immune, 1=vanilla)

Slider + Exact Entry — Each number has a slider and input box (the input value may exceed the slider)

Reset anything - every realm, every armor, or everything (must confirm). The modified value will be highlighted

In-game panel (PageDown) - three tabs, resizable window, all changes take effect immediately, no need to re-equip

14 languages - follow your game language or choose one in the panel; armor names use the game's own translations

The fine print, honestly

Only your armor is affected - zombies and NPCs are not affected, and the quality bonus of your equipment is retained.

Armor blocks damage, not knockdown - blocked attacks will still stun you or knock you down. This is vanilla behavior and hardcoded, so this mod won't change it

Environmental damage (falls, fallen trees, vehicles, traps) bypasses armor in vanilla and remains the same - only downed bites have their own sliders

Thorns (thorny shell) only triggers on melee attackers - original rules; zombies count as melee

The anomaly slider only works on attacks that hit the body - blocked attacks are never counted as infected

Do you also use repair adjustments? Its global durability option stacks multiplied with the mod's armor-specific durability - remember to do the math if both are set.

⚙️Panel and configuration

All content is concentrated in the PageDown panel: three tabs (Armor Library/Global/Settings), drag the ⇲ corner to resize, and the UI automatically scales according to the resolution (supports 4K). Shortcut keys can be re-bound in the Settings tab (Insert/Home/End/Delete are what my other mods use). Full configuration BepInEx\config\humanhost.armor.tweaks.cfg; your armor library BepInEx\config\ArmorTweaks_armors.txt.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
