SpongesEnhancedGUI
One tidy board of combat readouts: boss health, time until the boss leaves, health for nearby fish, and rounds left in your weapon.

Sponge's Enhanced GUI
Combat readouts on one tidy board, instead of four things fighting for the same
corner of your screen.
What it does
- Boss health — read from the same synced value the server uses, so everyone
in the lobby sees the same number.
- Boss departure timer — counts down to when the boss leaves, derived from the
network tick rather than a local stopwatch, so it does not drift between players.
- Fish health — for creatures near you that are actually in a fight.
- Ammo — for the weapon in your hands, including the larger capacity from an
extended magazine.
All four stack in one column in a stable order, boss pinned at the top and ammo at
the bottom. Nothing overlaps, because nothing is placed independently.
Each bar eases toward its new value rather than snapping, so a burst of chip damage
reads as motion instead of a flicker. Behind the fill, a slower trail drains away
to show how much was just lost — you can see the size of a hit without a floating
damage number. The colour warms toward the alert shade as a bar empties, on a curve
that stays calm until the value is genuinely low.
When you want it
You are fighting bosses, or you use a weapon and keep running dry without warning.
If you mostly fish quietly and never fight anything, you will barely see this.
Keys
None of its own. Its settings live on two tabs in Sponge's Mod Menu,
which opens on F5.
Settings
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Readouts | Turn each of the four on or off individually |
| Layout | Corner, offsets, bar size, gap between bars, how many at once |
| Timer | Its own corner, offsets, text size, and whether to show a label |
| Numbers | None, current, current/max or percent; creature range; damaged-only |
| Theme | Accent colour, alert colour, backdrop opacity |
Edits apply while the game is running — no restart needed.
Offsets mean "distance inward from the corner you picked." A positive Y moves a
top-anchored bar down and a bottom-anchored bar up, so you never have to guess which
way the sign flips.
Two worth knowing about:
- Damaged only (on by default) hides bars for creatures at full health. A fish
nobody has hit is not in a fight. Turn it off to see everything in range, which
gets noisy on a busy lake.
- Creature range limits how far away a creature can be and still get a bar. Zero
means no limit.
Multiplayer
Works whether you are hosting or have joined. Creature tracking is built from the
client-side spawn callbacks, which run on every machine, so bars appear for joining
players too — not just the host.
Compatibility
Draws into its own overlay and never modifies the game's interface. It never takes
mouse input, so it cannot swallow a click.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
