About this mod Author’s original text

SpeedrunGym

Contains utilities for speedrun practice. Feature ideas welcome.

Can be configured using BepInEx configuration, e.g. at runtime

using ConfigurationManager.

RNG Normalization

Craw pogo

Normalize how early the first craw dives.

  • Early - dive as soon as possible
  • Late1 - dive after one more flap cycle
  • Late2 - dive after two more flap cycles

Pogo Endlag Detection

When enabled, will display why a pogo endlag cancel failed, or how close it was to being optimal.

Possible popup messages:

  • repress +Xms - success, re-pressed direction X ms after the neutral landing.
  • jump +Xms - jumped X ms after the earliest possible jump, shown on a second line.
  • dir repress Xms early - failed, you pressed a direction X ms too early.
  • neutral Xms late - you went neutral X ms too late.
  • no neutral - you never went neutral.

Jump Timing

Two independently toggleable air-jump readouts, shown as popups next to Hornet.

  • Sprintjump Release - out of a sprintjump, shows the vertical velocity at the moment you released jump. yvel ≈ 0

means you let go right at the peak, - = still gaining height, + = falling.

  • Repress - if you repress jump in order to get float, show how long the repress took

Training Dummy

Spawns a neutralized grand reed next to Hornet as a training dummy.

  • Contact damage - Off, EffectOnly (regular hit, but no HP lost) or Damage.
  • Take knockback - whether attacks knock the dummy back.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
