ConfigurationManager for Holdfast
An unofficial Holdfast: Nations At War repackage of
BepInEx ConfigurationManager 19.0 by the BepInEx team.
The plugin files are the upstream BepInEx 5 release, unchanged. The package adds a small patcher that sets the
hotkey and checks one BepInEx setting.
ConfigurationManager lists the settings of every installed BepInEx mod in one window, where you can change them
in game.
Use
Press F5 in game to open or close the window. Settings are grouped by mod. Hover over a setting name to see
its description. A change is written to that mod's file in BepInEx\config\. Some mods only read a setting when
the game starts.
Install
Install through r2modman or Mod Manager. It is client side. Remove any copy
of ConfigurationManager you added by hand first.
Holdfast changes
The package adds a BepInEx patcher, ConfigurationManager.Holdfast.dll, in BepInEx\patchers\ConfigurationManager\.
It runs before any mod loads and checks two settings.
| Setting | File | Change |
| --- | --- | --- |
| HideManagerGameObject under [Chainloader] | BepInEx\config\BepInEx.cfg | Set back to true on any launch where it is false. The Holdfast BepInEx pack ships true. BepInEx's own default is false, which a deleted or rebuilt BepInEx.cfg falls back to. With false, Holdfast removes ConfigurationManager at the first scene load and the hotkey does nothing. |
| Show config manager under [General] | BepInEx\config\com.bepis.bepinex.configurationmanager.cfg | Set to F5 when the file does not exist yet. The upstream default is F1, which is the Holdfast console. |
HideManagerGameObject applies to the BepInEx object that holds every mod's plugin component, so it keeps all
of them loaded for the whole session.
On the first launch BepInEx\LogOutput.log shows:
[Info:ConfigurationManager.Holdfast] HideManagerGameObject is already true.
[Info:ConfigurationManager.Holdfast] Wrote com.bepis.bepinex.configurationmanager.cfg with the F5 hotkey.
Later launches show only the first line. When the patcher had to turn the setting back on, the first line reads
Set HideManagerGameObject = true in BepInEx.cfg so ConfigurationManager survives the first scene load.
Change the hotkey
Open the window, find Configuration Manager in the list and change Show config manager. The patcher only
writes the hotkey when the file is missing, so your choice stays through updates. Holdfast already uses F1, F2
and F4.
Mod authors
ConfigurationManager shows the description, range and list of values passed to Config.Bind. The
ConfigurationManager.xml and ConfigurationManagerAttributes.cs files in the plugin folder are for reference
while coding. The upstream README covers
sliders, drop-downs, keyboard shortcuts and the attributes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
