Original pure version of PhoenixShipData.sqlite file (with editing guide)
🎮 **Welcome, future Master of Spells! ** Have you ever wanted to tweak the power of magic in Hogwarts Legacy yourself? This mod provides you with a clean copy of the game's core database file `PhoenixShipData.sqlite`, along with detailed editing guides, allowing you to create a personalized magic experience from scratch!
---
✨ What is a mod?
There is a database file named `PhoenixShipData.sqlite` in the game, which contains a large number of game settings, such as the **"SpellDefinition"** table, which records the common parameters of each spell in the game, such as cooldown time, damage value, and casting range.
Normally you would need to use the **Fmodel** tool to extract it from the game files, but the process can be a bit tedious. This mod gives you a clean copy of this file directly, making it easier to start your customization journey!

🛠️ Preparation
You still need to prepare two small tools for editing and packaging:
- **SQLite Studio** (
- 🚀 **Use**: Open and modify `.sqlite` database files.
- 📥 **Installation**: Direct installation, no special settings required.
- **UnrealPak** (
- 🚀 **Purpose**: Repackage the modified files into `.pak` module files that can be recognized by the game.
- 📥 **Installation**: Unzip the compressed package to any folder on your computer. It is recommended to place it in the main game directory of "Hogwarts Legacy" for easier management.
---
📂 Get started
- **Download and Unzip**: Download the ZIP file of this module, and unzip the first folder (`Fresh_ShipData_Shaunr`) to the same directory** as the **UnrealPak** tool** you just installed.
- 💡 **Tips**: The correct folder structure has been set up in my compressed package, so that you can package it directly after editing. Of course, the original `PhoenixShipData.sqlite` file is also included.
- **Edit database file**:
- Go into the `Fresh_ShipData_Shaunr` folder you just unzipped. (You can later rename this folder to your mod name, but do not change the subfolder structure inside).
- Go through the folders until you find the `phoenixshipdata.sqlite` file, double-click it and it should automatically open in **SQLite Studio**. If not, right-click and select "Open with" and find SQLite Studio.

🧙♂️ Editing Guide (taking spells as an example)
Once you open the file, it's easy! Let's say we want to edit a spell definition.
- **Find the target table**: There is a search box in the left column, enter `spelldef`, you should be able to find the `SpellDefinition` table.
- **View and edit data**:
- Double-click `SpellDefinition`, and the "Structure" tab will appear on the right.
- Then select the **"Data"** tab next to "Structure", which will display a table of all spells and their parameters in the game.
- **Example of parameter interpretation and modification**:
- **`cooldown time`**: The number represents the number of seconds required for the spell to cool down. Set it to `0` for **Instant No Cooldown**! ⚡
- **`DamageCharacter`**: As the name suggests, it represents the damage value caused by the spell. Note that the damage value of **Avada Kedavra** is set to an astonishing `10000000.0`! 😱
- **`EnemyshieldBreaker` (shield breaking type)**: Edit this to add the type of shield that the spell can break. Specifically, setting it to `TypeC_Breaker` seems to break the most shield types. I've applied it to **Basic Casting** and now it breaks all shields! 🛡️➡️💥
- **Explanation on spell names**:
- You may notice that there are a lot of extra spell names, and even some spells seem to be missing (such as **Explosive Spell** and **Basic Casting**).
*A lot of the extra names are mission specific versi …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
