Game balance adjustments for #V

🎮 **A comprehensive adjustment mod designed to improve the combat experience and game balance of "Hogwarts Legacy"! **

Do you feel that the damage numbers in the game are too low and that the power of some spells is not worthy of the name? Do you feel that your enemies are like unkillable sandbags, but you have hoarded too many potions? This mod is designed to solve these problems!

✨ Core changes

This mod makes in-depth adjustments to multiple aspects of the game, aiming to create a more challenging, intuitive and rewarding gaming experience.

⚔️ Combat and damage adjustments

  • **Spell Power Boost**: The damage you deal has been mostly boosted to more accurately reflect the power of the spells you cast. For example:
  • **Thunderbolt** deals more than twice the damage of the original, making it truly feel like an **explosion**! 💥
  • ** Crucio ** now feels like it can do some damage (4 times the damage of the original, but still weaker than normal attacks).
  • **Burning Flame**'s damage has also been increased, but due to its higher base strength, the increase is not as large as other spells.
  • **Enemies are more threatening**: Enemies deal more damage to you (usually twice as much as the original). Get ready for tougher challenges!
  • **Spell cooldown adjustment**:
  • The cooldown of **Avada Kedavra** has been halved (45 seconds). The original cooldown was too long, and considering the cooldowns of other curse spells (20 seconds and 30 seconds), this adjustment is just right.
  • Adjusted the cooldowns of spells such as **Expelliarmus** and **Shatter** to better align with damage adjustments and their specific functionality.

🛡️ Difficulty and enemy adjustments

  • **Perfect Block Window Reduced**: Reduced from 5 seconds to 2 seconds on story difficulty and from 3.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds on easy difficulty. It's time to test your reactions!
  • **Damage taken increased**: On story difficulty, the damage taken coefficient is increased from 0.2 to 0.5 (still lower than the default value of 0.65 on easy difficulty).
  • **Enemy attribute adjustment**: The health of low-level enemies is increased by 50%, and the damage of high-level enemies is increased by 20%.
  • **Attack Frequency Increase**: Enemies will attack more frequently (except for Hard difficulty, which remains unchanged).

🧳 Economy and Equipment System

  • **Sell Price Adjustment**: Items are now sold for approximately 50 Galleons less than their purchase cost (not all items are exactly 50 Galleons less due to rounding).
  • **Gear Grading System**: Gear is now divided into **Early Game**, **Mid Game** and **Late Game**. All equipment within each level segment (levels 1-15, 16-22, 22+) will have exactly the same attributes (there will be a small bonus for epic or legendary quality), thus encouraging players to upgrade equipment instead of replacing it frequently.

📦 Optional version

We also provide a variant version that only modifies spell damage. If you only want to experience the enhanced spell power without changing other game mechanics, you can choose this version.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
