Automatically hide the HUD interface in non-combat states
Dynamic HUD
🎮 **The dynamic HUD you want is here! ** This module can automatically hide the game interface in non-combat mode (default is 5 seconds, configurable), allowing you to immerse yourself in the magical world of "Hogwarts Legacy" without being disturbed by cluttered UI.
---
✨ Core Functions
- **Smart Hide**: After leaving the battle, the HUD will automatically fade out to keep the picture pure.
- **Dynamic Display**: When casting a spell (such as the Revealing Spell) or entering combat, the HUD will immediately reappear.
- **HIGHLY CONFIGURABLE**: You can customize the HUD hidden delay time to suit your gameplay rhythm.
- **Manual Switch**: Press the **F6** key to permanently turn the HUD on or off (but this is not the default behavior of the module and is mainly used for debugging).
🛠️ Installation Guide
- **Download the pre-end tool**: Go to GitHub to download the latest version **UE4SS (Xinput)**.
- **Place UE4SS**: Place the decompressed file in the same directory as the main game program `HogwartsLegacy.exe` (the path is usually `~\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\`).
- **Install the module**: Extract the contents of this module’s compressed package to the game root directory `~\Hogwarts Legacy\`.
⚙️ Configuration and usage
Within the script, you can adjust the following key parameters to customize the experience:
```lua
local showHudLast = 5 -- HUD hiding delay in normal state (seconds)
local broomRevelioHudLast = 10 -- HUD display duration after the Revealing Spell when riding a broom
local revelioHudLast = 10 -- HUD display duration after the ground/mount is exposed to the Revealing Spell
local triggerLogicAfterFrames = 30 -- logic detection frequency (number of frames), affecting performance and response speed
```
**Performance Tip**: The module will run logic every frame (default is executed every 30 frames). It's almost unnoticeable on high-end PCs, but users with weaker CPUs may notice the impact. You can try increasing the value of `triggerLogicAfterFrames` to reduce the frequency (but this will slightly increase the latency of the HUD display).
⚠️ Known issues and limitations (Beta version)
- **Spell Action Prompt**: Sometimes the action prompt will remain after casting a spell. Sometimes it can be cleared by using the Revealing Spell, but sometimes it cannot.
- **Switching State**: When switching between broom, mount and ground, some HUD elements may briefly reappear.
- **Fade out effect**: The current version of HUD elements disappear one by one, which is not as smooth as the old version. On powerful CPUs, **Beta version 1.3** will have significant improvements.
- **No-fly zone**: After leaving a no-fly zone such as Hogsmeade or Hogwarts, it is sometimes necessary to display the UI (such as raising the wand) before taking off.
🔗 Compatibility Notes
If you also use the **DisplayDateTime** module's minimap clock feature, please set the following variables to `true` at the beginning of the script:
```lua
displayDateTimeModMinimapClock = true
```
📜 Update log
- **v1.8**: Updated folder structure to be compatible with Vortex Mod Manager.
- **v1.7**: Updated Beta version, improved the way spells are shown/hidden, and fixed auto-detection conflict with DisplayDateTime module.
- **v1.6**: The Beta version adds support for hiding/showing the map clock of the DisplayDateTime module, and optimizes the synchronized display/hiding logic.
- **v1.5**: Added the function of raising the wand to display the HUD for the V1 version, and changed it to asynchronous hiding/showing to avoid slight lagging.
- **v1.4**: Beta version fixes the problem that the spell HUD is not hidden/displayed after summoning/dismissing the mount, and improves the stability of the HUD display when raising the wand.
- **Earlier version**: The functions of hiding the HUD on the mount, using the revealing spell on the broom, and adding roa …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
