Manual installation

Windows

  • Download files.
  • You should be able to get the modimporter.exe file after decompression.
  • Place this file in Hades's `Content` directory:
  • Make sure the file is in the `Content` directory and not somewhere else
  • Create a `Mods` folder under the `Content` directory, and then put your Mods into the Mods folder.
  • Each Mod should have a `modfile.txt` file, the file structure is similar to the following:

```
Content/
├── Audio/
├──...
├── modimporter.exe
└── Mods/
├── ModUtil/
│ ├──...
│ └── modfile.txt
└── AnotherMod/
├──...
└── modfile.txt
```

  • Double-click to run modimporter.exe to apply Mod changes.
  • Note: Modimporter.exe needs to be run every time you add or remove Mods and when the game is updated.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide. Hades II uses the game's built-in mod import — unzip the pack and place it where the readme says.
