About this mod Machine translation

The fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 (also known as the "Miata" in North America and the "Eunos Roadster" in Japan) has been in production since 2015. It is a lightweight two-seater sports car with a front engine and rear wheel drive layout.

There is no perfect alternative in GTA5, but after extensive testing I settled on Surano. Of course I tried to animate the roof of this car but it didn't work. I noticed that if I just import the original .yft into Z-modeler, and export it without any editing - the animation doesn't work.

I opened both .yft files in text and HEX viewers, hoping I could find the differences and edit them... but to my surprise the original and Z-modeler files were completely different. I couldn't find any tips or tutorials on what to do, so I gave up. I decided to add a soft roof as an extra.

Everything else looks fine. Adjust parts? -yes. Bonnet and Spoiler.But..I also made some "sticker bombs". Most of the tuning parts are actually livery. Only the door is opened.

I've included two templates in the .ytd file if you want to make your own skin for it ("templatemod" - replace "modtexture", "templatemod2" replace "modtexture2"). enjoy your meal:)

Known bugs: Roofs and roof animation related - I removed the windows, but since the game doesn't recognize the extra roof of the roof, sometimes the driver can jump into the car through the roof. I didn't notice anything else - but maybe there's more.

Install:

Use OpenIV to replace the file.

1.Mods file ("surano_mods.rpf") is replaced with: "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf"

  • (Select the folder with the preferred board shape)

The car files ("surano.yft", "surano_hi.yft" and "surano.ytd") are replaced with: Grand Theft Auto V\mods\x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\vehiclemods

Finish!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
