About this mod Machine translation

I'm happy to present you my first model GunShot Wound or just GSW!

This mod is based on SOB's ideas and inspired by his mod Extreme Difficulty Healthy Realism.

But it's completely my mod, from SOB's mod I just used ideas and some text strings.

I also used the mechanism (not the code) of ianw240's Paramedics Heal Player.

describe

My script added a wound and bleed system that completely changed the gameplay, making it more realistic and hardcore.

My mod totally reworks the health and armor system and other mods change this which is not compatible with my mod.

After the player is damaged, the script identifies which body parts were damaged and what weapon caused it. After this randomly selected damage type.

Different types of injuries cause different bleeding and wounds. For example, a bullet can fly past you and leave superficial damage and some bleeding, but the bullet can also puncture a lung, which would be a fatal wound.

A damaged leg makes you slower, a damaged arm makes it harder to aim, and damaged nerves make it both.

My script has 5 states of wounds and bleeding:

  • No
  • Light
  • Moderate
  • Heavy
  • fatal

Minor and moderate injuries barely affect gameplay.

The wound is severe, you get variable effects and slow animations, and you can't sprint anymore.

Fatal wounds start a death timer, you move very slowly, and if you don't get an aid kit, you will die. In configuration you can turn on/off slow motion for fatal wounds.

Bleeding injuries of varying severity only affect your health. It doesn't change the animation or anything.

With the exception of fatal wounds and fatal hemorrhages, wounds and hemorrhagic injuries can heal on their own after a period of time.

The script is handling any corruption. So simply put, accidents can kill you like they do IRL.

Additional features

hit based system

Damage depends on the body part damaged. Headshots are almost always fatal, and armor can save your body, but not your limbs.

ambulance

If you are injured, you can try to call 911 or see a doctor for treatment. You have to be close to the medic to heal. When a medic approaches you at 2 meters, you will increase your health and speed up the healing of your cuts and wounds, but fatal wounds or damaged nerves/legs/arms you can only heal with a rescue kit or death.

motorcycle helmet

The helmet can dodge impact or small-caliber weapons with a 50% chance.

You can get the $30 helmet using the helmet hotkey, which is J by default.

Injured Peds

In the configuration you can find the option to let the script affect the surrounded peds. With this option you no longer need realistic weapon damage, but if you want more damage to your weapon you can find a damage multiplier in the configuration.

Peds can now bleed, and they reduce movement speed, animation, and accuracy after being wounded.

But use the effects on surrounding peds carefully when you have friendly peds! , it can hit your performance and potentially cause trouble during missions.

If your FPS drops, try reducing your working range. You can turn this feature on in WoundedPedsEnabled-option,

for other imitators

How to install

  • Install ScriptHookVDotNet and ScriptHookV
  • Download and unzip the archive
  • Set xml-config to what you want
  • Place "GunshotWound.dll" and "GunshotWoundConfig.xml" in a folder named "scripts" in the main GTA V directory
  • Start GTAV and try not to die quickly

I recommend using my mod:

  • Forced First Person Aiming If you like the classic GTA third person perspective, but you also like aiming from first person. It was a great experience!
  • Gun Recoil makes your games more realistic, harder and more interesting
  • Automatic SlowMo for beautiful slow motion at the right time
  • Better Weapons Ragdoll lose your weapons …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
