Troubleshooting Guide: See here

See the Mona Hat Removal Tutorial for a simple guide on how to remove character models using these tools. For an intermediate-level guide to creating a custom weapon, see the Custom Weapon Modification Guide. Installation Guide (3DMigoto)

  • Download and unzip 3dmigoto.zip from this repository. The author provides two versions:
  • "3dmigoto (for development).zip" is the development version, used for creating mods, but it is slower.
  • "3dmigoto (for releasing mods).zip" is a streamlined version for releasing mods, which is faster than the development version.
  • Depending on the location of your Genshin Impact.exe file, you may need to change this line in the d3dx.ini file to point to your own installation location. (game.exe, not launcher.exe)
  • Double-click "3DMigoto Loader.exe" to start the loader, and then start Genshin Impact through `GenshinImpact.exe (the national server is YuanShen.exe)`. If everything works fine so far, 3DMigoto should have been injected into the game and you should see a green text in the game (this only shows when using the development version, the lite version does not show green text)
  • Note: Just because the loader shows "unable to verify if 3dmigoto was loaded" does not mean that 3dmigoto failed to be injected - if the green text /mods is displayed, there is no problem.
  • The installation is complete! You should now be able to load custom mods and override textures and shaders with 3DMigoto. To add mods, place them in the Mods folder (you can only have one mod per character) and press F10 while in game to load them.

Installation Guide (3DMigoto Blender Plug-in)

If you want to modify the game model yourself, you will also need to configure the Blender plug-in and environment. The 3DMigoto plug-in is only available for Blender 2.80 and above

  • Download and install Blender
  • Download and install the modified 3DMigoto plug-in. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Add-Ons -> Install and select the .py file you just downloaded to install the plugin.
  • If done correctly, you should see 3DMigoto in the plugins list, as well as the new options in the import and export menus.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
