About this mod Machine translation
All cores now have a capital "N". Nuclear explosions are now better, bigger and deadlier. Plus custom items!
XXL Nukes is a mod that turns the game's "nuclear" farts into proper means of mass destruction. Explosion radius, damage, animations, lighting, and screen effects have all been modified to make explosions look and feel more realistic.
Additionally, it adds custom high-power mini-nukes to instantly eliminate your enemies.
Explosions will pass through obstacles (walls, fences, random cover, etc.), causing greater damage over a wider area while remaining fully usable, setting targets on fire, inducing radiation poisoning, and more.
Once you try this mod you'll never go back to the original, it looks like a joke (maybe that's intentional? Just make sure to save the game next time you decide to roll out mini nukes, and if you're feeling lucky, why not try running next to a burning car.
The main body has been packaged and uploaded together with an optional patch to remove the burning effect.
Installation method
A. Use Vortex or MO2 to install/uninstall with one click.
B. Download manually and follow these instructions.
Things to note
XXL Nukes do not work properly with other mods that alter the explosion of mini-nukes, Nukka grenades, vehicles, and/or robots. Make sure XXL Nukes is the last mod in the mod load list (or put ESP as far down as possible) to prevent conflicts with similar mods.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
