About this mod Machine translation

Added standalone enhanced version of POVCombat's WW2 German smock uniform and helmet. Made the uniform pipboy friendly and allowed customization on the armor workbench. Added new world preview model to enable helmets to be used with gas masks. Cleaned the nifs with nifskope and enabled double sided texturing to remove the transparency of the underlying coat.

Unfortunately, the original mod was heavily edited with pipboy. I (the author, the same below) used the same functionality as the vanilla military uniform. Also known as "rolled up sleeves." When worn by the player, it will roll up its sleeves in first and third person. When worn by an NPC or companion, it will appear normal.

This mod also simplifies helmet and armor customization. The uniform can be modified into a base uniform to be more compatible with backpacks and holstered weapons. You can also switch back to it if you like the original look of the suit with all the extra gear. The helmet can be modified to change scarf and strap options. The color of the armor can also be changed.

Armor can be crafted under Chemistry Bench/Utility/Wehrmacht Helmet Enhancement and Wehrmacht Equipment Enhancement. This is standalone so it can be used with the original mod of POVCombat. There are some minor requirements for crafting gear, such as having the Armorer 02 Perk. Ballistic weave can be added to gear and helmets simply by completing rail missions. Garments are available in lining options such as lighter construction and lead lining.

Install:

Front: WWII German smock uniform (this is a mandatory requirement).

Install my enhancement mod. This file is an ESL-tagged ESP, so it will not count against your load order. If overwriting the file is required, it is safe to do so as my mod will overwrite the material file to enable double sided texturing.

If uninstalling, I recommend scrapping the uniform/helmet first and making sure your character isn't wearing a uniform.

Known issues:

This only applies to men. Women can wear it, but it uses a male armor mesh. Caps are not included as they don't have many modding options to begin with.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
