Workshop synthesis production
Tired of relying on radio beacons - Craigslist roommate ads in the wasteland? Want to fill a settlement quickly? Want the cute Raider to be a little friendly? Have you ever imagined a world where everyone is Piper?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then making your own synthetic settlers might be the answer! Sculpted to look like the individual you choose, yet obedient enough to any dirt farm, your own synth will suit your every settling need. As long as that need can be fulfilled with a thick Boston accent!
First, you need to retrieve the schematic from the robotics department of the institute. If that's...no longer possible...you might as well find someone who miraculously survived a nearby explosion. The quest marker will point in the right direction. The tape contains some backstory on the institute's AGAR project and allows access to the following equipment:
Synth Fabricator
This marvel of science is capable of assembling a synthesizer every 30 seconds and can be set to single or automatic production in any terminal. Production requires 6 batches of synthetic tissue, 12 bones and one modified synthetic component for each settler created. Yes, it's fully animated and just as awesome as the Institute's version.
body scanner
Constructed at the Chem Station, this "gun" can be used on any living or dead NPC to store its image as a crafting template. Up to eight female templates and eight male templates can be stored at one time.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
