About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds toggleable miscellaneous tasks with map and compass markers for your desired companion. This mod was created in the early days of Fallout 4, and now there are other ways to accomplish what this mod does (Bethesda basically implemented the mod in their Vault-Tec Workshop DLC). But it still works fine! It uses the console to add tasks to the task log. This only needs to be done once and you can switch tasks freely after that.
The console menu or bat file is only needed after you've finished using it.
How to use the mod
- Make sure the mod is installed, .esp is enabled, and the correct batch file is in the Data folder.
- Launch the game, open the console and use the console menu to start your desired mission. This only needs to be done once.
You can also write bat commands for the companion ads you want.
These are the available batch commands:
bat trackAll - Add/remove tracking tasks for all companion ads.
bat trackCait - Add/delete Cait's tracking tasks.
bat trackCodsworth - Add/delete Codsworth tracking tasks.
bat trackCurie - Add/delete tracking tasks for Curie.
bat trackDanse - Add/delete Danse tracking tasks.
bat trackDeacon - Add/delete Deacon's tracking tasks.
bat trackDogmeat - Add/remove tracking tasks for Dogmeat.
bat trackHancock - Add/delete tracking tasks for Hancock.
bat trackMacCready - Add/remove MacCready tracking tasks.
bat trackPiper - Add/delete tracking tasks for Piper.
bat trackPreston - Add/delete Preston tracking tasks.
bat trackStrong - Add/delete Strong tracking tasks.
bat trackValentine - Add/delete tracking tasks for Valentine's Day.
bat trackX688 - Add/delete tracking tasks for X6-88.
bat trackBuddy - Add/delete tracking tasks for Buddy.
bat trackAda - Add/delete Ada tracking tasks.
If you want to delete a task, just add "un" before the command batch file name, that is, "bat untrackAll".
- Close the console and view the Miscellaneous tab in the task log. The tasks you want are now there and can be turned on and off.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
