Weather Synergy - True Storms

About this mod Machine translation
describe
Not long ago, a new weather model - Vivid Weathers was released. This mod adds some new weather types and it's definitely a great addition to everyone's game. Before this, I used True Storm which was not compatible with Vivid Weathers, and choosing between the two was difficult, and the choice has become even more difficult since version 1.4 of True Storms was released. I hate when someone or something forces me to choose between excluded options. And when I need to choose between two alternatives, I often choose the third option. Here, the merged patches of these mods work together.
But please note that not all conflicts can be resolved without data loss, in particular there are four types of weather types that are changed, which is why two types of patches are available through NMM installation:
True Storms Prioritization - Weather data from True Storms is prioritized to exclude conflicts and Vivid Weathers data is discarded.
Vivid Weathers Prioritized - Weather data from Vivid Weathers is prioritized to exclude conflicts and True Storms data is discarded.
There's also the merge patch for the Far Harbor DLC, which can actually be patched without data loss, so there's only one remote patch.
For the following versions:
True Storm: 1.4
Vivid Weather: 2.011
Install
If you haven't already, they install True Storms and Vivid Weathers.
Then use NMM/MO2 or manually select the merge patch type and Vivid Weathers season.
If necessary, select the far harbor patch. Please note that for the Far Harbor patch, you will also need the True Storms Far Harbor expansion and the Vivid Weathers Far Harbor expansion.
Darker Nights compatibility
The Darker Nights mod supports True Storms and Vivid Weathers mods, however, its installation indicates that you only have one weather mod. So you need to manually pull the Darker Nights package patches for both mods and rename them. The loading order here is important.
If you use True Storms Priority, your load order should look like this:
Fallout4.esm...
TrueStormsFO4.esm...
[any true storm esp extension]
Vivid Weather - FO4.esp
[Any Vivid Weathers esp extension]
WeatherSynergy *.esp
DarkerNights - Vivid Weathers.esp
DarkerNights - TrueStorms.esp
If you use Vivid Weathers Priority, your load order should look like this:
Fallout4.esm...
TrueStormsFO4.esm...
[any true storm esp extension]
Vivid Weather - FO4.esp
[Any Vivid Weathers esp extension]
WeatherSynergy *.esp
DarkerNights - TrueStorms.esp
DarkerNights - Vivid Weathers.esp
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
