About this mod Machine translation

Weapons of Destiny is a mode that makes bullets behave in a more interesting and realistic way.

In Vanilla Fallout, bullets fire in perfectly straight trajectories and reach their point of impact immediately.

Now, each bullet has unique characteristics (weight, diameter, velocity).

To define the characteristics of the different ammo types, I collected results from their real-life counterparts and tweaked them so they looked the same in-game. The new speed also affects the impact strength of objects affected by Havok physics.

In addition to these changes, I also added (optional) visual effects to the bullets to increase their impact on VATS and action scenes.

The stalker behind the bullet

Glow effect on bullets starting from a certain distance

Light smoke trail left by bullets (affected by wind)

More details on these effects are below.

Additionally, this mod fixes a well-known issue. Bullets no longer disappear after a certain distance, but lose height up to their point of impact.

When developing this model, I was inspired by the ballistics system of the excellent S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and want to get as close as possible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
