【Introduction】
Previously updated to V3.1, now open a new post to update. Thanks to the enthusiastic citizen s04119319 for Chineseizing the English part, so that I can save some work and I will Chineseize the French part.
MOD description: Volunteers should be the best choice to rebuild the federation, because they have more strongholds, more resources, I can’t say how good they are, and I can’t say how good their equipment is, but they have a good mass base, which reminds me of the workers and peasants Red Army’s rural siege of cities. These are what the author thinks. . .
Basic version
The Minuteman mission "Taking Independence" has been adjusted:
Preston will not ask you to recapture the castle until the player reaches level 15 (ask me to recapture the castle before level 15, are you kidding me?). Once you reach level 15 or above, complete an unknown task (maybe the task "radiant quest"), and talk to Preston to ask you to recapture the castle.
After completing the "radiant quest" mission, you can hire volunteers or exchange them.
The vigilante "radiant quest" has been adjusted:
Volunteer radiant quest mission trigger rate reduced
Reduce as many tasks as possible
Adjust the cooldown time of Volunteer Radiant Quest to 96 hours of game time
Flare gun range increased
The volunteer level is close to the player level and is no longer a level 1 waste.
Increased chance of Minutemen patrolling near strongholds
Volunteer soldiers put on uniforms
A new type of "veteran" has been added. Veterans will wear high-end uniforms and use Gauss rifles
Volunteers wear a variety of small items such as sunglasses, turbans or masks (which make them look different)
Volunteer weapons are diversified, no longer limited to laser guns
Increased chance of seeing Minutemen wearing combat armor
New armor added to the Minutemen:
Level 30 combat armor
Level 46 Powered Armor
Volunteer war dogs sometimes wear volunteer hoods and dog armor
Add some new faces to the Minutemen
Volunteers will slowly recover their health, and there is a chance that they already have healing needles in their inventory.
Volunteers use their own unique fighting style
Extended version:
The extended version contains the content of the basic version above, plus some content below.
Minutemen are now easier to manage and controllable:
Once the "castle is recaptured", players can create a "central command" through the workshop. The "central command" can be regarded as something similar to a workbench, allowing players to:
Create a vigilante and move the vigilante to any settlement controlled by the player through the "move" command
Player level 30 can create veterans and can move to any controlled settlement.
Note: If you create volunteers, they will appear in your inventory. You must assign them to a settlement in time. If you do not assign them, they will disappear once you save and load them.
Once "Castle Recaptured" and the player reaches level 30, a Minutemen follower can be created in the "Special" column of the workshop, and they will follow the player wherever they go, unless they die, or are sold or recycled by the player.
Reaching level 40, you can create veteran followers, the same as above
Reaching level 50, you can create a power armored vigilante follower, same as above
The standard equipment color for volunteers is now blue
Added new vigilante set
Combat armor can use the vigilante paint job
Add new decorative items:
Minutemen Tank +15 Defense
Minutemen Radio +10 Defense
Minutemen Banner +2 Defense
Minuteman Roadblock +1 Defense
Don't ask me about compatibility issues, I'm just a Chinese speaker.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
