About this mod Machine translation
Wastelander's Cookbook (WCB) adapts various cooking recipes by changing the ingredients used, the amount of ingredients required, and the effects of specific cooking-related consumables.
It also introduces standards-compliant consumables into the game (such as Brahman Milk) and provides new custom recipes for existing ingredients in the vanilla style so as not to seem out of place.

There are two versions of WCB: Immersion and Light. Immersion is the complete mod as originally intended. Light can eliminate radiation damage from food preparation and may be unbalanced.

For mod users who also change the level list, you must create a merged patch via FO4Edit, or only the items from the last mod in the load order will appear in the game. This includes recommended mods like Mojave Imports. Even with the patch provided by WCB, you still need to create the FO4 merge patch.
For users of Project Commonwealth, Wastelander’s Cookbook is already integrated into their ESM.
WCB performs best with Rebalancer, NX Pro, and Chemist's Cookbook. It will conflict with any mod that modifies vanilla recipes or foods in any way.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
