About this mod Machine translation
You'll find Wanderers roaming the Federation, these random nomads include normal settlers as well as scavengers, raiders, mutants, gunslingers, synths, and children of the atom.
Randomly generated from over 300 new spawn locations
Faction personalities/voices preserved. i.e. Raiders, Gunslingers, and Synthesizers retain their "enemy" personalities and sounds. Therefore, they will have no voice conversation to become a merchant.
Child wanderers appear when using federated orphans
Wanderers are mortals (unprotected) who can and will die, sometimes before reaching their designated settlement. If recruiting in an overly hostile cell, you might consider escorting them.
Intentionally slowing down the spawn rate, this mod is not intended to provide a large number of recruits. It was created to add more immersion and complement other mods for settler recruitment. Wanderers can appear anywhere, so start exploring.
Wanderer spawning is dynamically capped, with the total number of recruits allowed determined by the player's charisma and the number of settlements owned.
Player charisma and number of settlements owned will increase spawn chances. As the total number of friendly spawns approaches the dynamic limit, the chance of spawning decreases.
Recruitable/friendly wanderers persist, while hostile versions are temporary and will eventually disappear.
Dead wanderers are removed when the player moves some distance away from the corpse, so if you want to loot a dead wanderer, do so before moving away from the corpse.
Wanderers will sometimes break into your settlement, but they are not automatically assigned and must be recruited and assigned to the settlement
Mods that complement this approach:
Recruitable NPCs
animal rescue
Must be disabled if used with SKK Workshop Utilities, SKK Random Encounter Manager, or other mods that add a "recruit settlers" option.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
