User friendly
- All features are fully configurable in MCM. Don't like a feature? adjust or disable it
- Secure install/uninstall at any time (use uninstall option in MCM)
Searching takes time
- Disable quick loot on unsearched containers and bodies
- Opening an unsearched container will not reveal its contents immediately, they will appear one by one as the player searches
- Such actions produce sounds detectable by hostile NPCs
- Stow your weapons for faster, quieter searches
- Previously searched containers have their contents immediately displayed. The option to re-enable the quick loot menu on searched containers will also allow
NPC hears your actions
- Be careful what you do when enemies are nearby, NPCs will come to investigate suspicious noises such as:
- Consumable items
- Reload or equip your weapon
- Lock picking and hacking
- Use Pip-Boy
Prerequisites, installation and compatibility
Plot Revealed: Show
Prerequisites
- Lighthouse Papyrus Extender - Hard requirement to use search functionality. Unfortunately this is not compatible with NG, but GELUXRUM is working on making me a small plugin specifically for Vulture to make it compatible with NG. Watch this space.
- Fallsouls - Unpauses the game when you search, highly recommended to install if you use the search function
Install
- Install anytime
- Loading order does not matter
uninstall
- Open MCM and click Prepare to uninstall. This will turn off scripts so they don't damage your save files.
- Save your game, exit to desktop and delete mods
Known issues
- The search mechanism conflicts with any vanilla or modified changes to the default interaction prompt
- Cannibal perk will override and disable vultures on corpses
- Corpses cannot be dragged if the loot module is enabled. This isn't a problem for me, but if it bothers people I might consider fixing the incompatibility
compatibility
- Detectable sounds 100% compatible with everything
- The search mechanism is incompatible with anything that changes the default usage prompt, for example:
- Alternate activation prompt
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
