Version 2.0.1

Regarding settlers, two new options have been added. One of them is "settlers only" and will skip visitors. This is mainly for those who want to focus on growing their settlement rather than having visitors end up being killed by Thanos.

Another new option is "Allow settlers to enter shops and furniture". Normally I would exclude settlers on workstations, but if you exclude guests too, then it won't run very often - only after hours when sandboxing. This allows them to be snatched from stores or other furniture. Thanks to EntropicRaccoon for making the pull requests and testing them.

Version 2.0.0

The Vulgar Visitor has been redesigned so visitors are no longer needed! If used alone, it can still be used as long as the settler is not inside the furniture or designated workstation. Otherwise, the guest system is still supported and these people will be selected more frequently, but it is not a requirement. I want to keep things separate and stay completely separate.

If you have the latest version of Eden installed, the "Indoor Only" option is now supported! This was helped by its new ray casting feature, which I used to see if there was anything above their heads, in much the same way as the Shelter Bed works.

Cooldown is now a slider in the MCM.

If you set up MCM settings before, you'll have to go back and reset them.

Version 0.7

This is in sync with Visitors version 0.92.3, so if you upgrade it, you must upgrade Visitors too!

Custom Floozy furniture integration has been removed. I don't actually play AAF/NAF that much, so I try to simplify it as much as possible: I just choose the NPC and hand it over to the AAF/NAF bridge. It will select furniture based on your setup. I'm hoping to replace the restrictions that limit their play with better options, but that's still being researched. Thank you so much to EvilPanda for answering my many questions about furniture scanning!

Animations now have a reduced cooldown from 20 minutes to 5 minutes.

Bug fixed: Please sort NPCs correctly before handing them over to AAF/NAF. I enabled NAF bridge option enforcement but forgot about it when porting to Story Manager. This may become a dominant male or female choice.

Bug fixed: When the archive is loaded and the AAF scene is already playing, it will be confirmed again that it is still valid to avoid getting stuck and unable to run.

Bug fixed: If you leave and come back immediately, the animation should no longer exist, but the actor has been removed.

Version 0.6

Vulgar Visitors has been refactored to use the Story Manager. This allowed me to save about 200 lines of code on the main script, about half a dozen attributes, and populate them with more efficient aliases rather than selecting the NPCs myself. NAF Bridge has also been updated and will allow for better Floozy Furniture integration, but I haven't implemented it yet.

Updated on July 28th:

Version 0.5

Moved the scanning of Floozy furniture to the main visitor mod as this is where I track visitors. I should have done this first, sorry for the update of the day :P

Version 0.4

More testing was done using AAF instead of NAF and some changes were made. Most importantly, Floozy Furniture's integration has changed. I now look for nearby NPCs myself and use them as locations for scanning furniture because if you use this and don't find anything that matches your actor, AAF will play the ground animation that cuts into the furniture. See its page for more information.

Additionally, NPCs assigned to Floozy Furniture are no longer included in the Vulgar Visitor animation. Furniture is still used as a way to limit where they can play, but NPCs don't get involved. After playing for a while, I noticed that they almost constantly left their posts to engage in crude animation. I think …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
