important
- Don't use a different timescale than the original time. Different time scales always mess up weather systems.
- The Fallout 4 engine is more finicky than all other engines in this situation and you will be stuck in rain and snow for days!
- Note that the Fallout4 engine is also much worse at saving games.
You will definitely destroy your save when removing any larger mod, and this is a large mod!
-> Vivid Weathers (obviously) with any other weather overhaul (like Truestorms)
And other mods that change weather/climate or region or color LUT changes are not compatible (ECC aso..)!
-> Darker nights from Author
-> Far Harbors requires a compatibility patch, available as a plugin in the installer

Bugs and issues
Possible heavy snow weather may bring some flashes of snow, which I believe is an engine issue.
Snow moving through buildings: yes that's an engine limit, Beth just enabled rain
Purple clouds/particles crossing the mold = missing texture! Check your installation
Weird broken clouds in the sky = your weather doesn't support the 30 layers of clouds I cover.
Most issues are likely coming from other mods or being force …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
