About this mod Machine translation
Visible weapons
you. Keep your weapons where I can see them.
First things first - I want to be prepared in advance on a few things.
This mod will not work alone.
You need the weapon model as a clothing item for the weapon you want to see on the back/hips/holster.
Where can you get them?
just wearing cunning weapons
(For many vanilla weapons!)
Armorsmith extension
Nanosuit accessories
WOBA - additional weapons on the back
(for combat shotguns)
MK14 EBR
These are a small selection of mods that I personally use. There are definitely more I'm missing!
If your mod offers weapon models/holsters as clothing items, please let me know - I'll be happy to link to them.
Use Armorsmith Extended's sniper rifle, Katana belt, and pistol harness to great effect.
Nanosuit Accessories’ Pistol Holster is also compatible.
Weaponsmith Extended (coming soon) will soon include all wearable weapons with mods!
Can also be used with Outfit Switcher to change your loadout while drawing or possessing a weapon.
MOD AUTHOR: You can now use it out of the box without adding any external dependencies.
See the Mod Authors section below.
For modders, there wasn’t much incentive to have weapon models in the form of clothing;
But now that you can actually use them, that may change.
If you have a beautiful custom weapon that you want to see you,
Make a request to your favorite modder to include weapon mods as clothing items!
about
Weapons as clothing on your back and holster have been around for a while.
But so far they're mostly useful for screenshots because they're not actually usable!
They remain on your back at all times, and nothing kills immersion more than seeing them stationary on your back while you draw a precision weapon.
They also clutter your inventory.
Visible weapons allow you to connect weapons and weapon models. Once linked, they will run as one project. Weapon models will not appear in your clothing inventory when inactive.
That’s right! Once the linked weapon is equipped, it appears on your body!
usage
Once the installation is complete, you will receive a "Visible Weapon Configuration" in the "Auxiliary" section of the inventory.
Use this to configure the one-time link between the weapon and weapon model you want.
Make sure the weapon you want to link is currently equipped and select Link Current Weapon.
Then select the weapon model to link it to. This item must be in the "Apparel" section of the inventory, not the "Weapons" section.
Now, once a linked weapon is equipped, it will appear on your body.
Holster mode
default
If you holster a weapon first and then swap it out for another weapon, the weapon will stay on your back/hip/holster.
If you did not holster your weapon before switching,
It's like you've "thrown" your weapon to swap it out for another one and it doesn't get holstered.
always
Weapons will remain on you even when unequipped. In this mode you can equip a variety of weapons,
For example, carry a sniper rifle while using a pistol.
strict
Only currently equipped weapons will be displayed on you. Exactly how Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas handle it!
consistent
For leather cases. Make sure the holster remains in place while the weapon is equipped.
For modders, there wasn’t much incentive to have weapon models in the form of clothing;
But now that you can actually use them, that may change.
If you have a beautiful custom weapon that you want to see you,
Ask your favorite modder to include weapon mods as clothing items!
FAQ
Q: My link failed! When trying to link my weapon.
Answer: You made the mistake of selecting the weapon instead of the weapon outfit item. The linked item must be in the "Apparel" section of the inventory, not the "Weapons" section.
You don't need to choose which weapon to link. Config will automatically determine your currently equipped weapon and link your selected items to that weapon.
Q: I lost/did not receive a configuration item.
Answer: This console command will return th …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
