About this mod Machine translation
Q: What is this mod?
Short A: It changes the apex and meaning in the game, now they are a reliable defense tribe, transportation, and even friends.
Long A:
Improved vanilla Vertibirds. We've all experienced how soft vanilla verticals can be, and there are plenty of models out there that make them tougher...well, this one does just that and goes a step further. I redesigned what I had done in the previous patch and improved it even more just to add some content to the AI and give them more HP. VBrids are now PC balanced, so that means they will scale with the player's level, with a minimum lvl of 20 and a maximum level of 8.000, which means VBirds will be harder to fight against (they are fucking helicopters, you can take it down in a few shots, it doesn't make any sense). It also improves the way they run so they have more HP, better resistance, they move faster, and if they are high enough they will have laser acceleration instead of normal acceleration. They also have AI which means if they're in a good position they'll be more aggressive and put in more time, if they're outnumbered and have little life they'll try to escape, but if they're about to die (<100 HP left) they'll start a target, so...yeah, they're a bit of a kamikaze now...yikes!
A new Flare Gun has been added to the game. The new torch gun comes with 3 gamazines, Marker, FMarker and EMP. The first and second will move a custom fast travel point in the map, so you can use Verti-Brain to fast travel to it, or you can tell him to go to the marker. The EMP is the same as the grenade, but it can be thrown further. You can craft it in any Chemistry Station in the Utilities section. If you are updating the mod, the flare gun is pretty much the same as you saw in later versions of the mod, but now I have removed the "call hacked VBirds" sorry about this but they conflict with the VBrain script so..yeah...I highly recommend you put the ammo in a container or throw it away, you can keep it I will try to fix this but now it is useless.
EMP grenade. EMP grenades are a small wish. It only damages machines and robots, so you can drop it on your feet and not take any damage, but it also lets you restore more parts of the robot, with the goal of being able to grind everything you need. Because some things are expensive. Any chemical station under the grenades section can be opened.
Defending the Vbirds. This also adds 8 new defensive arcs, under the Defense > Turrets section of any settlement, they will increase the amount of defense of your settlement by 15 most vulnerable and 25 bombers, the hardest one and the one who fires mininukes... yes... he is a bomber... better cover as it kills everything. My favorite is the missile Vertibird.
New helipad. Well, this is a... stronger and ANOYING request than anything else. The coment part is nothing like a dozen messages telling me to put a fkin helipad in the mod so... I added it but it was for "aesthetics" (as MxR should say) because seriously it would be unbelievable to have a helipad in it because of how the game works so I had to do a lot of work on it. I have an idea that I'll try to implement in a future patch, but... I'm not committing to just "I'm working on it". It is Resoruces> Misc Category
VERTI BRAIN. This little one is the key to the mod, which has a lot of new content. He is a personal pilot and you can fly anywhere you like... But you can also do a lot of new things with his program, you can work on any chemical station in the "Utilities" section. He comes with an AI that you can activate or deactivate based on the program's AI options, and he can carry your stuff with him, and now you can also make an entry in the ai section to be able to trade with him without having to talk to him. You can make him with any settlement in Resc>Misc
Pilot of Verti-Brain. In the program under the "Hire a Pilot" section, you can hire a pilot from any faction you like (including the Children of the Atom, because...why not?) …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
