introduce
The residents of Vault 81 were armed with pipe guns, and some had questionable confidence ratings. When you have an armed security force, arming residents with scrap weapons seems counterproductive. In other games in the Fallout series, shelter security guards are armed men, except in special circumstances. Dwellers armed to the teeth with iron pipe weapons are especially noticeable when using mods like Classic Backgun System, as these weapons are clearly displayed on NPCs. Therefore, Vault 81's security forces will be the only ones carrying 10mm pistols. The only exceptions are Overseers, and select NPCs equipped with weak melee weapons. Below, some more detailed changes have been made to specific named NPCs. All other changes are common to all Vault 81 NPCs. Additionally, Pip-Boys have been added as Vault Scientists and Security Guards, as they were strangely absent in the original.
Named resident adjustments
Gwen McNamara: Brave Confidence and the 10mm Auto
Bobby DeLuca: Brave Confidence and Switchblade
Horatio: Fairness Confidence and Switchblade
Calvin Whitaker: Average Confidence and Tire Iron
Tina DeLuca's Cautious Confidence and Defenselessness
Holt Combes: Cautious Confidence and Defenselessness
Mark Summerset's cautious confidence and defenselessness

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
