Vault VII is a fully custom player-built vault inspired by the community behind my YouTube channel (Cordless VII) which has been five years in the making. This started out as a personal build for my YouTube series, where I built a vault based on my Discord server. Each room in the vault represents a channel in the server. But once I started building, it quickly evolved into a full-blown collaboration between builders and modders from the Fallout community. The mod features a massive, fully customizable vault with residential areas, markets, restaurants, movie theaters, arcades, security wings, speakeasies, lounges, indoor beaches, and more!
While this final version has changed quite a bit from the original (which you can see in the original video series), it's been redesigned to feel more authentically integrated into the world of Fallout and better integrated into the game's lore... and optimized so no computer or console will catch on fire trying to run it.
Where can I find shelter?
- The shelter is located to the left of the Mahkra Fishpacking facility on the northeast side of the topmost map (refer to the second picture in the gallery)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
