Vault 117 - Terror Mission Mod

Crazy return

How to get started?

Just north of Jamaica Plain stands a giant billboard promoting the treasures of Jamaica Plain. At the rear of the sign you'll find a hatch.

What should I expect?

Fear is a strange thing. Some people may find this mod disturbing. Some may not. Either way, I hope you enjoy the experience and please let me know how you found it.

This is a mod made of two halves. The first part will see you trapped and unable to do anything. The second part exists as a form of... catharsis.

This is an unmarked task. There are no map markers. From the moment you enter, be sure to read the terminal entries and notes, they will be your only guide on how to escape.

Prerequisites?

Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka World and Vault-Tec Workshop DLC.

Recommended mods?

These are not required but I feel they add to the experience and are used for screenshots:

Pip-Boy Flashlight ()

MagNite - Functional Flashlight ()

Dark Sci-Fi Sanctuary New Texture ()

Crazy ghoul bite skills ()

Horrorghouls Soundtrack ()

Anything else?

This mod is a spiritual successor to In The Flesh, not a sequel, but go check it out:

It's dark there. Get a flashlight (or install a mod), it adds a lot more to the experience than the default Pip-Boy light.

Speaking of which, it was really dark there. I can't say what it will look like mixed with your personal lighting mods, ENBs, and/or Reshades.

Put on your headphones and turn up the volume, sometimes the sound will be the only warning you get.

Leave your entourage outside. They can't help you, they can only hinder you.

Oh, and please do me a favor - have your favorite gun ready before you start decontamination. Opening Pipboy messes with time (I promise it will make sense later).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
