About this mod Machine translation
Mod Overview
- Twenty missions, one story, allowing you to complete the vanilla game in new ways. Want to imprison Preston and execute Desdemona while overseeing peace between the Institute and the Brotherhood? Kill everyone? Let the four major factions coexist harmoniously? Or somewhere in between? Now you can. Here's a detailed example of what's possible.
- New dungeons, bunkers and player bases, with the option of a completely overhauled Research Institute.
- As the Director of the Institute, you can actually direct the place: free synths, kick out bad guys, do new types of quests, give buildings a new look, add vendors, and open the place to trade with the Commonwealth.
- Challenge Elders Maxson to take control of the Brotherhood of Steel and use Liberty Prime as a follower to spread murder and democracy throughout the Commonwealth.
- Convince Desdemona to calm down. You are now the director of the institute. You can unleash the synth. No need to turn Cambridge into a crater.
- One who uses persuasion rather than violence to resolve disputes between factions (and vice versa), choosing life and death.
- A hopefully more engaging approach to the fate of Sarah Lyons and the other BoS protagonists from Fallout 3, rather than a single, unconfirmed terminal entry where she's "stuck in combat" with no further explanation.
- Four custom and full-sounding companions to choose from, as well as four vanilla-based companions (details below). When you enter the mod's main questline, you'll encounter each companion during your adventure.
This mod will work no matter where you are in the game or which faction you side with. You can play a new save or any existing save. However, if you want to play 100% of the content, Prydwen and the Institute will need to be intact. If both Prydwen and the Institute are in ashes, both main missions will be shortened by an hour.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
