Updated Chinese address on May 5, 24:

I'm back with another mod, this time my second armor mod for Fallout 4. While the first time was mostly painless, I found that with this full body armor and the detail on it, I had to spend more time in the costume studio cleaning up the paint weights. Anyway, I had a lot of fun modeling and texturing though, because that was really my main excuse for making mods in the first place: just to model something I could bring to life and play with in the game. I see this armor as another milestone in my progress as a modder, as I'm slowly but surely crossing things off my list of mods I want (a pretty big list). I'm glad I've made it this far, a lot of people seem to enjoy my work, and hopefully this one doesn't disappoint either.

This module contains

The Valerian armor design comes from the movie Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. While it's debatable how well the movie performed overall, to me it's indisputable how great the armor Laureline wore looked. After watching this movie I knew "I'm going to make this into a mod for Fallout 4 one day" and that's exactly what happened. This combat armor is suitable for use in space, land and sea. Its intricate fiber weave and metallic composition keep it from being too heavy and will also provide the user with adequate protection and flexibility. Speaking of space, while we're probably still a few years away, this is a mod I'd love to port to Starfield when the game launches. Of course, we'd need the proper modding tools so I could convert my armor, but I really hope I can serve that game. I really like space games with this armor and before that it will be used in Fallout 4.

The armor uses CBBE body shape by default. If you want a different shape, the bodyslide slider is included in the download of the mod for you to customize. This armor mod only works on female bodies. All textures are mostly 2k, with some 1k textures.

To get this armor you can get it in 3 ways:

Search for it using the console command: "help Valerian 4"

Using this nifty mod called esp extractor menu you can search for esp and add armor directly to your inventory (my mod doesn't require this, but it's really useful when you just want the item)

Craft an armor set from the Chemistry Workbench

As a bonus, the armor set comes with a variety of color palettes to choose from. In Armor Workbench you will see a color option where you can select the option you want. You can also adjust the glow color if you want, or even turn it off. I do want to point out that the Purple Mystic color set will require double the resources. This is the rarest of all choices (because I want it to be).

FAQ

*Q: Can I make a video/review about your mod? *

Answer: Yes! I would never have a problem with anyone wanting to review my mods.

*Q: Can I take content from your armor and change/reupload it? *

A: If you would like to change and re-upload content that requires one of the original files from this mod, please contact me first. I really don't want my armor to have 52 different variations everywhere. If you want to make patches and/or translations to make them work with other mods, it's always possible to create those mods.

*Q: Help! The belt texture on the armor seems dull. What's wrong? *

A: This is a very simple fix and is actually not a bug on my armor, but on Fallout 4 itself. For some reason, Fallout 4 has a bug where the cubemap won't load. Therefore, you may need to restart the game again (I had to restart it 3 times) to get the cubemap to work properly.

*Q: I don't really like the design/model/texture of your armor, can you change these? *

A: I'm sorry to disappoint you in some aspect of the quality, but I make everything from scratch. I do not and cannot use copyrighted material, so everything on …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
