About this mod Machine translation
Adds special goggles that, if the wearer possesses the V.A.N.S. talent, can constantly see the path to the nearest mission objective.
Prerequisite: Nuka World DLC
Chinese address:
The packaged body and the esp replacement that removes the startup sound effects are packaged and uploaded together.
V.A.N.S. Goggles
Purpose:
The V.A.N.S. Perk is extremely annoying to use. You have to turn on VATS every time you want to go somewhere, which pauses the game and makes the whole process tedious.
This mod adds special goggles that allow you to constantly see the path to the nearest mission objective as long as you have the V.A.N.S. Perk. If you don't have the V.A.N.S. Perk yet, the goggles are purely cosmetic and don't do anything special. Once you get the perk, the goggles will work as expected.
While wearing the goggles, your path will automatically update every 8 seconds. Removing the goggles will stop showing the path until you put them on again. Without goggles, your V.A.N.S. Perk works by turning on VATS.
Where to find:
Goggles can be found in an abandoned van outside Vault 111. If you can't find it, see the screenshot.
How to use:
Install using Vortex/MO2 or unzip it into the Data folder of the ontology and enable it manually. If you want to disable the sound effect that V.A.N.S. produces when looking up paths, use the optional .esp file instead of the one in the main archive.
Notes:
This mod only works with next-gen updates. It may not work with older generations. The updated creation toolkit changes the way .ba2 archives are created - I have no control over this.
This mod requires the Nuka World DLC as it modifies the V.A.N.S. Perk.
Goggles only work if you have the V.A.N.S. Perk. If you like cheating, you can get it via the console: player.addperk 207d1
The game may freeze for a second each time when scanning for the next trail in a dense area. This is a limitation that I can't work around. I believe this is why Bethesda only shows the trails when you enter VATS, to avoid us noticing the stutter. I still think convenience is a small price to pay when trapped in an indoor maze.
If you can't find the goggles outside Vault 111, open the console and type: help "v.a.n.s. goggles" 4 Find their armor IDs and add them via player.additem
This mod does work with glasses and mask retextures installed. I've duplicated the grid to avoid problems.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
