Original address:

The BA2 and component format master files have been uploaded. You can choose one of the two to install according to your needs.

Updated on November 24, 2025:

Version 1.2.1

General: Fixed a bug that prevented world space water (rivers, streams, lakes, etc.) from activating, affecting survivability and compatibility with Advanced Requirements 76

Version 1.2.0

Crafting: Added duplicate crafting recipes for use in workshop crafting menu toggles (see settings log).

General: Set plugin version to 5

General: Repackaged the module into the BA2 save file.

Universal: Contains all files as a FOMOD installer.

Materials: Created new effects material files (.BGEM) based on the colors used in OWR, added radio meshes.

Grid: Updated the Radio1.nif grid to use a material effects file (.BGEM) to represent the color of the light on the dial when the radio is on. [Developer Note: This allows colors to be changed via material swapping without having to separate the mesh to get different colors. ]

Menu: Moved the "Force Frequency Scan" and "Radio Target Search" buttons from the Radio Information menu to the Settings menu (access the Settings menu via the Radio Information menu).

Menu: The radio information menu has been updated, adding 10 new frequencies and providing a quick channel switching button. If there are more than 10 frequencies, players can switch "pages" to view additional frequencies. [Developer Note: This is a small convenience feature for players who have a lot of radio mods installed and the process of using the knobs is long and tedious. ]

Scripting: Backend improvements designed to reduce scripting latency and streamline the process.

Scripting: The basic function of the mod is now to scan the loading area around the player (default distance is 12000 units) to find compatible radio props. Once the player moves more than 12,000 units, another round of scanning occurs. This should finally get rid of the [Busy] tag bug.

Scripting: Added integration compatibility with OWR, added wireless object form to workshopScrapRecipe_radio form. This is done when the game loads and will only run if OWR.esp is installed.

Script: Modify the internal logic of the script so that radio objects that are in the workshopScrapRecipe_radio form list but do not have dial-up nodes can still interact with them through the "Message" activation prompt.

Scripting: Added the ability to track players building radios in settlements. The script now updates the radio collection and applies knobs to player-assembled radios after the player exits workshop mode. Previously players had to change cells or leave an area for these changes to take effect.

Settings: Added a new setting to toggle crafting radios under Decoration > Miscellaneous (vanilla) or Decoration > Radios (mod). The default setting is Off (original production site).

Worldspace: Removed unnecessary override of Minuteman Radio Transmitter reference (most likely a bug introduced when using the Creation Kit)

OWR Patch: This is not strictly required for the main functionality of the mod, but must be consistent with some extra/optional mod functionality

OWR Patch: Crafting: Added duplicate crafting recipes for OWR custom art radios for use in the workshop crafting menu toggle.

OWR patch: Material switching: Added material effects for different custom artwork radio material switching, which can change the color of the dial light when the radio is turned on. [Developer Note: Players should not notice this change, but must have custom art radios use the default radio1.nif grid to use the dial. ]

OWR Patch: Objects: Changed the mesh of the OWR radio object from the one added by the mod (just a copy of the original with effects editing) to the defa …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
