About this mod Machine translation
Formerly known as Ultrawidescreen Patch
Just as ultrawidescreen patch creator Jon Doe Bowler has stopped his dedication to patching proper 21:9 support into Fallout 4 after version 1.4.132, I've taken it upon myself to pick up where he left off. Using BAE, JPEXS, NifSkope and Blender, I carefully re-tuned every SWF and NIF to provide the correct possible native hyperbroadcast support for the latest version of Fallout 4 (as of 1.9.4).
This mod is 100% standalone and does not require (and does not work with) flawless widescreen!
**If you are currently using the mod Widescreen fix, make sure to delete widescreen.ba2 and remove its validation in Fallout4.ini under the [Archive] section. It is not required as TruBy9 is designed to replace it. Keep it it will conflict with this patch and break the UI! **
- Navigate to the Fallout 4 folder located in "Documents\My Games\Fallout 4"
- Open (or create, if missing) Fallout4Custom.ini using your favorite text editor (I use Notepad++).
- Edit/add the following lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini;
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1
sResourceDataDirsFinal =
^^Leave it blank^^
- Save and close Fallout4Custom.ini
This modifies the game correctly, telling the game to load any and all subfolders from the root\Data folder, and actually improves load times due to the way resources are scanned and loaded.
Next, follow the INI edit below, install the mod, verify that the "TruBy9.esp" plugin is active in your mod menu (*last in load order) and you should be golden.
Install
Just use the Mod Manager to install it.
Don't forget: edit the Fallout4Prefs.ini file located under the [Show] section in Documents\My Games\Fallout4 and add the 21:9 resolution:
iSize W = 2560; no matter you use 21:9 resolution
iSize H = 1080
For full screen:
bTopMostWindow = 0
bMaximizeWindow = 0
bFull Screen = 1
bBorderless = 0
For unbounded:
bTopMostWindow = 0
bMaximizeWindow = 0
bFull Screen = 0
bBorderless = 1
For 90 FOV (recommended as it is still: 9 aspects):
Change it in the game console using the tilde key (~) and enter:
fov 90 90; The first [90] is your first-person FOV, the second [90] is your world view
saveini
refreshini
Due to the use of PipBoy, I recommend a first person value between 85-90.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
