About this mod Machine translation

What kind of module is this?
If you've been following me since the early days of Fallout 4 modding, you probably know that this isn't the first time I've gone to the trouble of fixing a Vault 81 mission that relied on it. It's not even the second time, but hey, third time's the charm, right?
This new version of the mod actually does four things.
- Fixed the ending of Shelter 81 mission, dependencies
Like my first mod from early 2016 called Dependency Mission Fix, this mod also fixes the incorrect good ending of Dependency Mission in Sanctuary 81, allowing you to recruit Tina without any glitches.
- Tina can be recruited even if the mission has ended
Like my second mod calling Tina De Luca as the voice of the settler, this mod also adds an addition to the vanilla mission that allows you to recruit Tina any number of times after the dependency ends. This is useful if you have already completed the quest when installing this mod.
- Turn Tina into a Tier 4 supplier
A new feature is that I finally took the time to turn her into a level 4 regular merchant, which I think is more appropriate than turning her into a chemical dealer for two reasons: first, since the dependency relationship has ended in some way, there's a good chance she may not want anything to do with chemistry anymore. Secondly, she was already set up as an ordinary merchant in the original game, so the NPC's original plan may have been to become an ordinary merchant anyway. The only problem is, she's not a level 4 vendor in the original game files.
- Add custom voice lines for Tina as a settler, generated by AI
As before, this version also has custom dialogue written by me that will give Tina lines of dialogue once she becomes a settler.
But this time, the lines of dialogue were synthesized using machine learning, using the original lines of dialogue from NPCs in the original Fallout 4.
My goal was to increase immersion by making her sound exactly like she did before in Vault 81, and to restore the cut in the original spirit of the character, including her motivations, persona, and backstory, seamlessly integrating the missing parts of the game and making Fallout 4 a better experience overall.
Hope you like it.
+1 bonus feature
It also changes Tina's AI so that she becomes brave instead of cowardly when your settlement is attacked.
How to install
Before installing this mod, make sure to uninstall any version of my old mod called Tina De Luca Voiced as a Settler (TinaDeLucaSettlerVoiced.esp)!
Use a mod manager like Vortex.
Or extract the contents of the rar file into the Fallout 4 data folder.
Enable TinaSettlerAIVoiced.esp using the mod manager or manually.
How to trigger in the game
If you've never completed the mission called Dependency in Vault 81, just play the game and you'll have no problem recruiting Tina DeLuca regardless of the mission's outcome.
This mod will allow you to retry recruiting her multiple times.
If you've completed the quest but failed to recruit her, talk to her again after installing the mod.
If she's already in one of your settlements, you should be able to talk to her.
compatibility
This mod is incompatible with its predecessor Tina De Luca Voiced as Settlers (Dependent Revisited), which was created with voice actors. Make sure to select either this mod or the old mod, but not both!
This mod is 100% compatible with Dependency Quest fixes and unofficial Fallout 4 patches, as it makes the same edits that fix the game. It's also more dated than my earlier mods Dependency Quest Fix and Tina De Luca as the settler voice (Dependency Revisited).
This mod is compatible with any other mod that change …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
