About this mod Machine translation
69 billboards were recreated from scratch, using a poster style while maintaining an immersive feel... almost! I also did 2x magnification.
Original address:
Prefix:
Sims Settlements 2 (optional, if you want to use the compatibility patch):
SS2 compatibility patch updated on May 14th:
Requires Settlement Simulator 2. Replaced "The Ron" billboard with Clipper Ship and GNN ads. Work safely.
Not included in the main file (because I kind of like SS2's billboards).
The optional SFW version (Harmony version) main file will be updated on May 12th. You can choose one of the two to install according to your needs.
----
What this module does:
Replaced the textures of several billboards (69 so far!) with a mix of suitable for work content (SFW) and slightly adult content. I (the original author godlike, the same below) remade them from scratch, first making my own "clean" version, and then adding a doomsday atmosphere.
Enlarge the texture by 2x.
Comments
I try to keep the style relevant to the original work, except of course if it’s not suitable for the workplace. For example, appropriate logo, Nuka Cola bottle, Mr Handy, etc.
This involved about 15 minutes of local AI use and endless digital editing. No six-fingered monster!
Constructive feedback and suggestions are welcome!
Prerequisites
No!
Install:
Just install it using your favorite mod manager.
It can be installed or uninstalled at any time during the game.
It is recommended to generate LODs to avoid "pop-in" at long distances, but this is not required.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
