About this mod Machine translation
I never liked the ugly vanilla flag, so I decided to give it a little makeover.
I hope you guys enjoy it.
I tried to focus on realistic logos, visible seams, embroidered patches/logos, and more realistic holes and damage.
These are handmade textures from scratch that took me several hours of work.
March 25
Updated clean Institute Flag -> Created a new specular map, resized and recompressed its diffuse, normal and specular maps. The ultra version is now 64,0 MB (the previous size was 170 MB!) and it looks even better!
Fixed an issue with Institute Flag's specular map. The vanilla game uses the same mirror map with the railroad and academy flags (no flags on the mirror). Because I created a special Institute specular map, I had to edit the material .bgsm file and it now points to the specular map on the right.
have fun!
You can choose from the following flags:
Kill the American Flag (Clean or Dirty)
Stars and Stripes American Flag (Clean or Dirty)
CIT pre-war flag (currently only cleaned)
Brotherhood of Steel Flag (Clean or Dirty)
Militia Flag (Clean or Dirty + Damaged)
Plans for the future:
Make textures smaller (try using Intel PS plug-in or NVIDIA DXT5)
Includes specular maps for all logos
Trying to package the entire mod into the FOMOD installer
Orange BoS flag (vanilla design)
College Flag (vanilla design)
railway flag
Just about every other flag game out there needs attention
Dirty and damaged versions of all flags
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
