Gameplay:
+ Project Van Buren (Interplay's canceled Fallout 3) would have used trains as the main mode of transportation?
+ In the first Fallout, there is mention of super mutants attacking villages using steam trucks (uranium fission boiling water reactors)?
+ In Broken Steel (Fallout 3 DLC), an NPC with a train arm is used to simulate a moving train?
- The mission can be started by going to Old South Station (follow the tracks south) or by looking at the Valentine Detective Agency's front desk files. The recommended minimum level is 20 - 25.
- Katie is a deadly sniper, but requires something rather obvious - distance. She may panic if you get too close to her, so be sure to be as far away from her as possible at the start of the battle so she can have a clear shot at the enemy.
- After unlocking the train settlement, you can use the transporter outside Old South Station to return to it. The workshop is located below the exit of the train engine.
Inside the train engine you will find:
- Radio: Use it to call or turn off the merchant's train and it will appear in front of the train engine for all your shopping needs!
- 3.1 Train Car Styles: To change the style or disassemble a train car you need to activate the car connector (each train car has a curved metal bar where it joins, you can't miss it) and select the option you want
- Radar: Here you will use your train for random missions, but this feature is not implemented yet.

FAQ
Q: The sound on the train has stopped, how do I fix this?
Answer - Now just …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
