About this mod Machine translation
After 200 years of cryogenic preservation, you have woken up. The world you knew, the people you loved, are replaced by a twisted and desolate wasteland. Then you realize there are people like you. Others are working to restore the world you lost. Isn't that great?
My spiritual successor to Fallout: The New Vegas Mode "For Enclave" and my first Fallout 4 mod, "Stories of the Enclave" sees you diligently trying to rally the shattered remnants of the Enclave in approximately 2 hours of adventure!
Crucially: If you're updating from a previous US version of 1.1.0 and above, you absolutely need a clean save. Failure to do so will cause you to run into a host of problems.
Instructions on how to do this are in the FAQ.
Act 1 - 7 Mission Storyline
two companions
Seamlessly integrated into the game
Multiple new locations
Over 1,000 lines of voice-over dialogue
unique characters
enclave radio
Enclave Pip-Boy skin (after completing 'Welcome Party')
A player room for you to decorate to your heart's content
Dozens of random encounters
repeatable tasks
Integrates with Return to Liberty's Enclave Officer Uniform, X02 Power Armor and X03 Power Armor
Integration with CreationClub’s Hellfire Power Armor
Once your character reaches level 5 or higher, the mod's questline will begin. However, I recommend upgrading to at least level 10.
If your character is working with the Brotherhood of Steel, there is a "point of no return" where you are no longer welcome to the Brotherhood. Fair warning!
"How do I make a clean save and why do I need to make one?"
First, leave any areas added by America Rising. Once done, save and exit the game. Then do the following:
- Uninstall the mod
- Launch the game and load the save you just made. It will warn you about missing content. That's fine.
- After the game loads, wait a few seconds to save again.
- Exit the game and install the new version normally. Play using the save you just made.
The reason this is necessary is because each mission is re-scripted from scratch to fix some deep-rooted bug. This means maintaining compatibility is impossible. You should only do this when updating from 1.0.2 and earlier.
"Why is version 1.1.0 BETA?"
Both characters lose some of their voices due to dubbing delays. I'm faced with the choice of delaying the mod for a month while I remake the character or release it as-is. I decided to release it to all of you in its current state and will patch the voice files once I have them. If you don't want to deal with some missing voice files, I suggest you wait!
“Where is Atlas Summit integrated?”
Due to various factors, I won't be able to get it ready in time for this release, so I've disabled it. I will add it in a future patch, most likely along with the missing voice files. Don't worry, it's coming!
"Why did you change the ending?"
The original America Rising ending gave me all sorts of challenges in terms of pacing and caused some bugs, especially if you uninstalled the mod after playing it. I admit, the ending isn't that exciting, but it will make my life a lot easier when working out Acts 2 and 3 of the story, as well as changing the starting requirements!
“What does mod integration mean?”
Quite simply, there are some great mods out there that compliment America Rising perfectly, so if you install and activate any of the mods listed, you will see their content appear in America Rising. Big shout out to the modders I'm working with on this feature!
"I installed RTL's X03 Power Armor/CreationClub Hellfire Armor, but I don't see the Enclave Troops wearing it. Why?"
The X03/Hellfire Power Armor will only appear at higher levels, reflecting its higher level. Only Hellfire Warriors, Sigma Warriors, and Sigma Leaders can wear the X03/Hellfire Power Armor.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
