About this mod Machine translation
It’s an old MOD from 2016, but someone just posted a Chinese patch, so I posted it for everyone to use and see.
Chinese patch:
A pre-war British embassy located on Far Harbor Island, Maine (which place is too remote). You can come here on the federal ship Helena.
Your task here is to contribute to the restoration of the wasteland population with your maid.
The Moon Palace is a House mod for lovers of elegance. An 18th-19th century style palace. Requires Far Harbor DLC.
Update: V1.1
Patch 1.1 adds some new content and mostly fixes, the description includes the full list:
- Restoration - House ruins blocking entrance.
- Fixed - Companions will not follow you from room to room.
- Added more legends, a journal in the library + a royal bunker in the basement.
have:
- More than 25 rooms.
- Servant NPC for dialogue, with basic collection tasks and gifts.
- Workbench room: kitchen, chemistry laboratory, armory.
- 4 unique outfits that I made myself.
- Storage room
- Unique classical music soundtrack, totaling 25 minutes of tracks. (See credits and licenses below for complete list)
How to enter the palace:
- Far Harbor - Next to the Red Rocket Station (location on screen)
- Federation - Find the ship "Helena" near the castle, entering the door at the stern will take you to the basement of the palace.
- Teleport - Once you enter the main part of the palace and find the maid, she will have a "Teleport" dialogue option, an unlimited supply of TP relay, instant TP to the main hall.
Legend has it that the Moon Palace was an old British embassy in the United States that was repopulated by locals. What happened to Britain even before World War I is hazy, and I've come up with the idea in this mod that Britain survived the resource crisis. The last pre-war king, Prince William's grandson Henry IX, ruled until the nuclear holocaust, and the embassy is one of the last remnants of old Britain as we know from Tenpenny (Fallout 3) that England survived.
Install:
Step 1: Go to documentation and change your fallout 4.ini file and change the line. The .ini file is located in the location of the savegame file.
ResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ to ResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MESHES\, MATERIALS\, SCRIPTS\
Step 2 Extract the files into a data file.
Remember! If you encounter problems with invisible bodies, pink textures, etc. when downloading lights, please download and install the full download version manually. I don't trust my archiving tool.
Also, please check your NMM options and adjust them using the "Read Only" option as they may also cause some incompatibility issues between invisible, NMM and v1,5 + Fallout 4 and Mod Loader patches.
Q: Can you make this so that it doesn't require Far Harbor?
Answer: No, development has gone too far to make the original Fallout 4
Mod it Q: Will this be developed further?
A: I know my personal time is getting less and less, so I wish I could, so take that into account when making requests, I'm not only limited in my skills as a modder, but also in terms of time.
Question: Why am I being obeyed as the owner of a British house.
A: ...Why wouldn't you? :D This is a royal themed house designed to make you feel royal, nuf said.
Question: ...WTF is the "groom of the stool", why is he wiping my ass? !
A: Basically the most luxurious toilet paper fit for a king, it’s too long to explain so I’ll leave a link:
Possible problems:
- Pre-existing house ruins blocking entrance, experimental patch causing crash.
- Some blocks and items may start glitching and disappearing for a while outside next to the entrance door.
- Companions may take a while to enter and leave the palace, possibly a NEVmeshes thing, but I'm not sure about fixing it.
- Avoid violence in the mansion, especially explosions, Lanterns have a nasty tendency to "relocate" when this happens, you've been warned.
- Is the main part of the palace lagging? Well, it's a complex interior with a whole bunch of stuff, lighting, effec …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
