New companions include

1.Kit is a fully voiced companion with a custom affinity system that links to original game events/dialogue, as well as events from The Machine, And Her.

• She comes with improved and customizable AI/combat abilities that can be changed on the fly.
• She can unencrypt terminals *and* pick locks, although it takes practice for her to unencrypt higher levels of security.

4.Kit's unlocking and unencrypted functionality has been simplified to make it more user-friendly and intuitive: Just walk up to a locked terminal or door and select the option for Kit to try unencrypted or unencrypted - and that's it! No more talking to your companions *before*, you can tell them what you want them to do.

5.Kit's Radio, a custom menu item that controls all of Kit's various settings and functions, as well as instantly moving her to your location. Add it to your favorites for quick access!

• At the end of Kit's story, you may be able to choose a very powerful perk.
• Over 6,000 lines of dialogue, including supporting lines and story content from a variety of new characters.
• Brand new radio station with over 50 legend-worthy tracks and a fully voiced DJ.
• Multiple story outcomes depending on your choices.

Affinity

*Kit's affinity system is customizable and takes into account the decisions you make - not only in her story, but also in the original game (such as factions to join, dialogue choices, actions involving original NPCs, etc.). *

When you first meet Kit at Symphony Station, she's unsure of her place and purpose in the world and wants your help understanding her present and past experiences.

Because her feelings are more complex than "like, dislike, love, hate," etc., her affinity isn't tracked by an up or down number like it was in the original game. Instead, her affinity moves along the following X/Y axis:

1.Trust

• Cynical

She never "forces hello" when she wants to talk; important conversations only happen when you need them to because you've made progress in her quest. There are no pop-ups on the screen to indicate how she feels about something you did or said; how she feels about a particular topic or decision will be reflected in her dialogue and demeanor.

*At the end of her main quest, you have the opportunity to gain access to powerful perks, depending on your choices and whether you've earned enough of Kit's trust. *

You can do this in the following ways:

Adventure together in the Commonwealth. (You gain trust every time you level up with her.

Talk to her frequently and play her main quest as well as vanilla game content.

Encourage her to share more about herself and where she comes from. (You might lose trust by telling her you're not interested in what she has to say)

Listen to A.G.N.I.S. Radio Kit's favorite station! =)

Order her to hack into the terminal and pick the lock.

Cynical

*As Kit's trust level increases, your words and actions will carry greater weight, influencing her view of the world to be more or less cynical. As her perspective changes, it will affect her conversation with you and the ultimate outcome of her story. *

Kit becomes more cynical when you:

Encourage her to embrace the dark, violent tendencies (and talents) within herself that she has been trying to leave behind.
