The Fabulous Workshop Broom sweeping the floor

Introducing the fabulous workshop broom. This is a reconciliation broom. (Really!!) Assign one person and they sweep so it really is a broom. Its purpose is to clean workshops/settlements, therefore it is a workshop broom. It's really powerful, I guarantee you, it makes those who live in

The folks at the Commonwealth (the DLC had been planned incompletely) actually cleared gd's location. Apologies for WOT, this mod needs some explanation and a few warnings y'all.

1 is that I stupidly forgot to test them with any kind of bot, so until I'm done (if a week or three week ETA update is needed), you do so at your own risk. It may work fine. It could destroy the world. It might just do some weird stuff, destroy your settlement and eat your savings. Not sure if the animation I'm using (vanilla AnimFurnBroomConstant) can even be played on a robot or if there is a robot equivalent. I'd say this is an unsupported configuration I'm looking into.

1(a) Always do a manual, full, conservative save (~, save, save very little) and reopen (once to a physically different HDD, not just a different partition) before installing this or any mod if you care that much about only having one toon! I used a "clean test toon" where I had most of the solution, he lived in Sanctuary (never been anywhere else) and didn't have any mods to Sanctuary, after which I did all scrapping and saved him manually with the console. I suggest people do something on their own (if you plan on going all the way and it takes an hour, can do it in 10-15 minutes, or just download one) and use that TOON (not your precious one) to find out if any particular load order is fun enough, after which you can manually, cleanly backup your fave (including a copy of your load order .txt where you save the file) and try it out with him/her/it. It's also recommended that people clean out their saves regularly and remove mods that you don't (or rarely) use.

2 is out of my control, but doesn't affect most people:

If you want to see under the hood of mods, don't open this esp, it will mess things up, but use FO4Edit instead. Source scripts are included in the download, feel free to explore your own content or modify for your own use, I release mods in the hope that others have fun with them and don't care what floats your boat if you follow me?

3 and beyond:

Includes broom markings. Ideally, you would plan a bit ahead of time and sort through your solutions, then build a fabulous studio broom and assign one person to it. When they finish scanning the current area, the Fabulous Workshop Broom transports itself to the next Broom Marker (loosely determined by the distant build command), after which it is assigned to its servant to trek and start working again. This is where some forward planning pays off, the servant has to be able to get to the next Broom Marker somehow, so dropping a slight fool in a pile of junk or stranded on an "island" is usually not the best approach.

Completed and moved during the night and waiting in the new location in the morning. Just find it and reassign its slave, no big deal, he/it is just looking for it instead of finding it and going towards it.

If the Fabulous Workshop Broom is placed somewhere where it can sweep through a lot of stuff at once, the visual highlight effect may fade away as it marks and/or the Fabulous Workshop Broom in question may suddenly jump to the next mark, but have no fear, afaik it never leaves anything behind, it's just a little too eager to get' done and has a bit of its famously weird timing, that's it.

Once the Fabulous Workshop Broom has completed moving through its designated route, it has no further practical use for its servant and officially dismisses him/her/as well as reclaims the tokens of its use. After work, people tend to stand there blinking stupidly, although they have just lost their jobs, shocked by the changes around them and not broken at all. With all other …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
