The Dance-Ola Jukebox
DanceOla is a fully operable, fully animated, customizable jukebox modeled after the classic Rock-Ola jukeboxes of the 1950s and 1960s. It comes in two versions, a play, button-activated mode that lets you select your favorite tracks on the go, and an auto-play version that loops through its 23 tracks, playing four songs at a time. Ideally, I would have preferred a model that allowed for queuing multiple single selections, you know, like a real jukebox, but that's a script mouse well above my pay grade. Also, I considered making the playback after the radio station, but that took longer than I wanted because I haven't ventured into radio station modding and I don't know how to pull it out to play while allowing the animation to change for each song. My approach to scripting is much like my algebraic approach in jr. High, learn some basics to make it suitable for what I'm trying to do. If my models were cars, they would look more like Studex than BMW. If any models with more scripting capabilities can help streamline these land yachts, I welcome your help.

Ideally I would have preferred one model that allowed for queuing playback of multiple single selections, you know, like a real jukebox, but that's a scripting rat's nest far above my pay grade. Also, I had considered fashioning the playback after a radio station, but that was going to take longer than I wanted since I've not ventured into radio station modding and I wasn't sure how to pull that off while allowing for the animations to play with each song change. My approach to scripting is a lot like my approach to algebra in jr. high, learn a few basics and make it fit what I'm trying to do. If my mods were cars they'd look a lot more like Studebakers than BMWs. If any modders with greater scripting abilities would like to help streamline these land yachts, I'd welcome your assistance.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
